Two of my favorite LSU Tigers of all time. I would have openly wept.

Stovall is an awesome person and Hilliard is still one of my all time favorites.

That is a great combination. Both from smaller schools and both were under valued when they signed. They made us proud.

Dalton Hilliard graduated from Patterson High in 1982 and I graduated from ED White the same year. Patterson and ED White were in the same district and so we got to play against him a few times over the High School years. Hilliard of course was the stud at Patterson in football and basketball. I did not play football but played basketball and will never forget the first time I saw Hilliards thighs in warm ups before the game. Hilliard was not tall (about 5'7 maybe) but his thighs would have made Robert Newhouse blush. He was also the perfect gentleman. The guy never lost his cool or looked upset about anything. He just went about his business. I carried the chains for ED White back in '82 and was able to see him on the field close up. The guy was simply on another level. I knew that he would do good in college and the pros as long as the holes were wide. The thighs made up for whatever height he lacked! It was like trying to tackle a fire hydrant.

Thanks. He is a cool dude. I see him almost daily.

In a quote Ronnie Lott, when he was still with the 49'rs, said that Dalton Hilliard hit harder than any other person he had ever tackled. He also said he was he least favorite player to tackle.
That was when the NFC West was...
NO, TB, SF, Atl. I think that's all.

I could care less if you know him and I could care less if you see him almost daily....if that's all you say. That means nothing to me or anyone else on here. Why don't you add something about him that we might not know, or tell some story about him. Otherwise, this post just ranks right up there with all those threads that say "I saw Lee at the grocery store today...I couldn't believe he was in the junk food isle." You know, the posts where someone just wants to say that they saw an LSU player.

dude can you be anymore of a dickhead. So what you don't care if this guy knows Stovall. No reason for you to belittle this guy or something so stupid.

Please explain how I belittled the guy.
I was all excited when this guy said he knew Stovall...I wasn't old enough to really know what he did for LSU and thought it would be cool to read something about the man, but instead the post ended....with absolutely no value added.
I just expect more than half of the crap I read on this board. I think if everyone did it would become better for all.
So to the guy who knows him, tell us something cool.

Forgive me, I must have missed the fine print where TD requires personal stories (although a bonus) were a requirement for your approval. if you are so interested in him do some research yourself.

Dalton Hilliard is definitely one of, if not my most favorite LSU football player of all time. I met him at a Louisiana Sportswriter Association Awards banquet back in 1990. I was there with some of my highschool teamates and he was there for some professional football award. It was around the time he was in the pro bowl. Not exactly sure of the dates but he was money for the Saints at the time and one of my idols. My dad was with us and convinced me to go over and talk to him. I'm totally not that guy, but my dad was smitten with him too, and couldn't help himself. After pushing me over to his table Dalton was as gracious and approachable guy you could meet. Very humble even when I told him how i loved how awesome he was and how i loved when he ran over people in the NFL. Definitely one of if not the greatest LSU/Saints players ever. I know I'm biased, but I grew up idolizing the guy, met him, then he lived up to, and surpassed every expectation as a cool guy. Nough said. He even signed some autographs and took some pics.
