of course RR has displayed more upside, but when you work a person for 2 plus years to get him in your program then at the 11th hour pull the scholarship to appease another player just leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I know randle is a potential all american but still.

First, the bolded part is false.

Second, the fact that we stood by him for 2 years when he continued to make poor choice after poor choice regarding getting qualified shows that we weren't looking to screw the kid over.

No, but I can tell you that he's repeatedly told me that Les Miles is the most genuine coach in college football. There's no way Les would do what he's being accused of for no reason.

College football is a multi billion dollar business,,,,,the only thing different than the pros is the players play for free "supposedly". I'm not hating on Les he has to make business decisions.

Hope this is true and this video isa very sad awakening. Wonder if grey shirting is ever mentioned in the recruiting process...by coaches or by players?

I think his stats at Northwestern State are all that are needed to show why he was removed from LSU's roster.

No offense, but the words of 1 player doesn't mean shite. Some players love him because they get their way with him. Others don't.

Sounds like there is truth both ways, but Les is no saint. He is, however, one of the most honorable in the SEC hands down.

I've heard from multiple players different sides of Miles. Most do think he's a good guy though, but don't believe he is a good disciplinarian. Granted, most of those guys were players under both Miles and Saban, so that means to take it with a grain of salt.

According to the nice home he is throwing the football around at with his brothers, I don't think his family really NEEDS the scholarship. If he loves the game so much, he should just stay on the team as a non-scholarship player.

The reason is an NCAA rule that limits you to 85 scholarships.

Les isn't doing anything that other SEC coaches haven't done but the practice needs to stop. From a moral perspective, I think the Big 10 way of doing things is better.

The NCAA rules are pretty generous. The game of football requires 11 starters on offense, 11 starters on defense, 2 kickers, plus, realistically, you need about 10 other guys for special team duty and 10 other guys for obvious substitutions or injury relief.

You don't need 85 guys to play a football game or complete a season. There's plenty of wiggle room for guys who don't physically develop the way you expected, or who don't give 100%, or whatever. The Big 10 has proven that.

One message you can send to the staff is to come in from the off season grossly over weight. It just says I dont give a frick.
Harris at NWst earned that spot.

Porters grey shirt is a huge f up, I felt bad for him, CG was given every chance to compete.

LSU never said he transferred, Garrett did. He didn't want it to look like he was crap so he just said he "transferred" to NSU.

Bunch of real classy LSU fans. Jump on a kid because he told his side of the story. I'm not taking up for him, just wanted to point out some of the fans on here were quick to throw shite at other fans for being critical of players. Now that it works for you, you want to throw shite at another player.

les got rid of CG to appease Lee and give him the illusion he had a real chance to compete for playing time. The plan backfired cuz lee chose baseball. plain and simple.

This is all BS, Chris Garrett cant even start here at NSU, everyday the trainers say he is in the training room complaining about something hurting him, he was a wasted shcolly and its good LSU rid themselves of him now rather than hold out for a miracle

That's what I always thought. There are a few players that LSU could cut if production was part of it.
