It would be a lot better to be straight forward. Just say the player wasn't what LSU was looking for.

Bunch of real classy LSU fans. Jump on a kid because he told his side of the story. I'm not taking up for him, just wanted to point out some of the fans on here were quick to throw shite at other fans for being critical of players. Now that it works for you, you want to throw shite at another player.

Not at all Doc. What seems to get away from everyone is the fact that CG met with Miles and Miles lied to him. Even though CG didn't work out at his next stop, didn't LSU put conditions on his transfer?

I think the overall point of the piece was that the average SEC school is offering over 100 scholarships for 85 spots. That's not the way things should be done. 18 kids on average get fricked and are not warned about this policy upfront.

Here's how we rank compared to select SEC schools in signee numbers (that is, scholarships offered and accepted) from 2010-2006. The last number is total scholarships offered over a five year period. To stay keep everyone enrolled, schools would have to offer something like 106-7.

Ole Miss: 25, 37, 31, 22, 30 = 145
Auburn: 32, 28, 29, 30, 25 = 144
Arkansas: 25, 31, 25, 27, 26 = 134
Alabama: 26, 27, 32, 25, 23 = 133
LSU: 29, 24, 26, 26, 26 = 131
Tenn: 25, 21, 18, 32, 22 = 118
Florida: 28, 16, 22, 27, 27 = 110

Is it actually a "fact" that Miles lied to Garrett? The real point is that there were at least two people involved in that conversation, but only one of them has come out and made comments about it. The story came out around the Spring Game about Garrett not working out like the coaches wanted him to.

And putting conditions on a transfer is common place, LSU was actually generous by allowing him to transfer to MSU.

Speaking of Elliot Porter you know he doesn't play for Kentucky anymore either? He wants to come back to LSU.

Pertaining to the topic of this whole story, numbers are so tight right now that I can't see this happening

If he was to come to LSU it would be as a Walk on.

Also, there were rumblings Garrett’s scholarship was pulled.

“If he wanted to stay at LSU, he would have still had a scholarship,” Bonnette said.

Great, fifth in our Division, again. Thank goodness for MsState. ESPN just really hates LSU!

I never so the show on ESPN but I'm reading this thread implicating LES and LSU being shown in a negative light.

I'm willing to bet $abun @ bama was not even mentioned. (relative to over signing and yanking scollies) Am I right?

Didn't he meet with Miles, then get the letter(which was dated prior to the meeting) after that.
Then Miles states at a PC that it was because CG didn't have enough of a want.
