Our evaluations the last few years have been atrocious to put it nicely.

Curious to see how this works out for A&M

Coming in to the season we all agreed that the bats would be there but it was pitching that had the biggest question mark. If i'm not mistaken one of the announcers said we were second in the SEC in batting average, but way down in pitching. It showed on the field. To make a regional final on the road in the coach's first season is a good start in my book. The season didn't end how we wanted it to but it played out about how we envisioned it. Bats showed up. Pitching didn't.

We will be better next year just by elimination.

I think a lot of people will be shocked when Thompson’s in the lineup come February.

I won't be. But he needs to do what he didn't do last summer and actually go play summer ball and get more reps.

I wonder why he never went with rezelman as a starter.

Because your starter has to have more than a fastball.

Didnt morgan also skip summer ball? Basically just to get a break from baseball? Not sure that helped him

Same. Jay speaks highly of Thompson.

He’ll be a key cog in the wheel next season.

Pitching was the major problem in all 3 instances he described. Fielding was alot better over the stretch he was talking about. Pitching cost us this regional, it cost us the sec tourney, which cost us hosting a regional, and it wouldve cost us in game 3 at vandy if the bats didnt go psycho

Agree - field, except C, cleaned up quite a bit the last 3-4 weeks.

I think he did the best he could with the P - just Reyz was off Saturday and Gervase was off Sunday. It happens.

Sucks that it was back to back, but we know our P was short 2 stud starters anyway.

Thompson was fine at SS the year before. However his bat is weak. I think his problem his mental. Like Chuck Knoblach (sp? With the Yankees years ago. Couldn’t throw it from 2nd.

Literally the worst defense I’ve ever seen at LSU but sure, let’s just blame the pitches. Also, his decision making is shite. Maybe blame yourself JJ

JJ knows there are more problems than pitching.Having said
that he took the oppertunity publicy to emphasize to the
nation ,mostly recruits, that LSU is the place to come if
you want to potentially start at a top program. There will
be alot of players in the portal pretty soon so put out the
word LSU needs you.
