I disagreed with that penalty and I had no problem with Wing doing what he did since it was during the excitement of him playing in the game. That is a poor comparison.
The planned rally nonsense is more comparable to whoever it was that his the cell phone in the goalpost padding to "celebrate" a touchdown ... it's just silly grandstanding in my very obvious minority opinion.
I'll have to check-in on my disapproval rating later this evening as my cell is about dead from reading this thread. Thanks to all for the entertainment while I'm stuck at an outlet mall with the wife and daughter.

I downvoted the OP because your ire was directed in the wrong place. I agree some things seem ridiculous but the coach and his/her staff have control of what happens in the dugout.

You see, you have the false premise that doing these silly things in the dugout is somehow hurting their performance because they aren't "focused".
How do you know that it's not actually helping them by relieving some of the tension? Baseball is a funny sport because the players have much more down time than other sports. They have to do something to stay entertained. If that means taping a cheez it box to your head then so be it.
Sheesh, I weep for your children.
