Showing one call is a reason for losing a game is simply weak and just another excuse. Let's stop playing the blame game and do what it takes to beat them.

A few years ago I compiled yearly data on penalties comparing LSU and BAMA from 2000 through 2010 I think. It's actually a perfect example that shows, clearly, that it makes no real difference who the coach is or how good the teams are.

BAMA had less penalties than LSU each and every season. Even when Saban was at LSU with all his discipline while Shula was tanking BAMA's program. Still...the guys in Crimson lids seemed to be less likely to commit penalties.

Those numbers are widened once Saban got to BAMA...but they were ALWAYS less penalized than we were.

Every. Single. Year.

I'd go through the trouble of finding the graphic, but I get the impression that facts won;t alter your worldview here, right?

I agree that Alabama may be the best football team I have ever seen in the over 50 years I have been watching college football. But Speckhead if you are gullible enough to think that the SEC office being in Birmingham makes no difference then you should probably change you id to something other than speck in front of head. I guess it makes no difference if the guy who made out the SEC schedule for years was a graduate of Alabama. Then go back and look at how often Alabama played the tougher teams in the East when that guy made out the schedule. That is just one thing. Video replays of many calls in many games would prove that SEC officials do favor Alabama when it comes to calls on the field. Anyone who denies it is just intellectually dishonest
