re: Targeting Call on Devin White

Posted by Tigurs68 on 10/22/18 at 4:13 pm to
I think the biggest issue was that the replay only showed one angle and even from that angle one could see that Whites helmet did not make contact with Fitzgerald's helmet. How quick the confirmation came back and the referee, who has obviously made several bogus calls against LSU in the past, making Fitzgerald leave the field, are very suspicious. There are camera's on the goal line and over head cameras. Why was there no angle of those shots presented. Certainly makes one question the integrity of the referee and the replay official.

I agree that Alabama may be the best football team I have ever seen in the over 50 years I have been watching college football. But Speckhead if you are gullible enough to think that the SEC office being in Birmingham makes no difference then you should probably change you id to something other than speck in front of head. I guess it makes no difference if the guy who made out the SEC schedule for years was a graduate of Alabama. Then go back and look at how often Alabama played the tougher teams in the East when that guy made out the schedule. That is just one thing. Video replays of many calls in many games would prove that SEC officials do favor Alabama when it comes to calls on the field. Anyone who denies it is just intellectually dishonest
The LSU offensive and defensive lines are not in the same league with several teams in the SEC
No one will win championships scoring 17 or 19 points per game

re: Coach O haters - are they in hiding?

I don't think anyone hates Coach O. I think most fans are disappointed that we are seeing the same thing under Coach O that we saw in the latter years of Les Miles and there seems to be no prospect of change in the near future.
I don't what LSU tiger you are watching but LSU does not runs the same plays, schemes, routes, etc. that other schools are running. We are running what LSU, Michigan, etc. ran in the 60's.
Much of what the man says is right whether we like it or not. Had LSU been recruiting top notch QB's under Miles and Coach O. it could have won several of the last few games against Alabama instead of being 0-7.
This young man has become a star just like Altuve said he would be. Credit to the Astros, LSU, and his family

One of the problems with LSU's offense is the fact we do not adapt the offense to take advantage of the skills of the offensive players and I am convinced the reason we don't is because this OC and those in the past have not know how.
I couldn't agree more. LSU is running everything the offenses coaches know how to run which leaves much to be desired and very little room for hope for this year.
why would we think a tight end coach who has been at LSU for years, most of them under Les Miles, could install an offense like the elites in the conference have done? Where would he have learned it at and where would he have had experience in running such an offense?

Best Louisiana Player LSU missed out on

Pooka Williams from Hahnville. I saw this young man play when he was a sophomore and knew he was special. He single handedly took Hahnville to the Dome this year and against the best defense in Louisiana, still gained over 200 yards in the championship game.
Canada is qualified to do what? Shifting TE's, Tackles pre-snap and having WR's go in motion to one side of the field and back to the other, then running a Miles dive play into the middle of the line may qualify him as an endurance trainer for TE's, Tackels, and WR's but hardly an OC.
Les is very much like Dale Brown. The programs needed them when they arrived and they both did a super job but both should have exited several years before they did.
I think you look at it from the wrong perspective. Those of us down on O are not anti-LSU, in fact the reason we have concerns and voice them is because we love LSU. O was championed as a great recruiter - NOT; hired the best offensive co-ordinator in America - NOT; is in over his head as a head coach- YOU BET. He'll have a couple of years to prove he can be a TCU Patterson; take lesser recruits and make SEC players out of them
I couldn't agree with you more. Alleva and everyone on the board who voted to hire him should be fired, if they still remain in power.
The worst hire in LSU history is Aleva. Coach O is in over his head and Tiger fans will have to put up with it I would think for at least 2 more years
