That team nearly lost to a shitty TTU team. Playing in a lower tiered conference is not great. They are not good with a shitload of money they spent on their WR and QB.
I know you cannot be serious with that shite.

PUT UP MONEY. That is why Saban quit. Why Kirby all of a sudden isn’t “BOY WONDER”.
Those assholes were paying players and now everyone can.
BTW LSU is ahead of both Kirby AND LANE FWIW in the conference.

I’m so tired of the BK excuses. Stop riding his dick. This program is soft and undisciplined. Facts

Partly agree with Lester. BK arrived in Dec 21 - two weeks before early signing day for the 22 class - 15 signees on a roster with 39 scholarships. His first class was the 23 class which was highly rated but light on the big bodies and Heard bolted for TN. His second class in 24 was ranked #7 and loaded with big bodies on both sides but they are true freshman are many are seeing PT. The 25 class is again loaded with big bodies and ranked # 3. We are building to a point where we will have 21 and 22 year old grown men in the trenches. People don’t want to hear it, but we were a PROGRAM in complete shambles in 2021 and I for one appreciate the players who have stuck it out and been the foundation of the rebuild. Way more going on in the building besides Xs and Os in the first year.

Stop defending BK based upon how he had to totally rebuild the program after inheriting only 39 scholarship players, he won 10 games and the SEC west with that foundation. 2 years later his team is going backwards, not forwards. Look at Colorado this season, Sanders started with only 10 scholarship players for the 2023 season, and yes he lost, for 2024 he purged the roster again and signed 69 new players, the Buffalos are now 7-2. Kelly uses the "we're doing it the right way" line as an excuse for the programs lack of progress, after Colorado's 2 roster purges, they now have a top 10 recruiting class, the roster will stabilize, so after doing what was initially necessary, Sanders looks to be "doing it the right way" going into his 3rd season in 2025. We are talking about LSU, winner of 3 natty's in the past 21 years, LSU simply doesn't have to work as hard or be as creative as Colorado to rebuild a program. STOP making and accepting excuses!
While it may have been a good plan and strategy at Norte Dame the south and the SEC is different.
Tougher teams you play week to week.
Good players on every team most weeks.
So it's not that I don't think he can win here it's just more competitive than he is use to and I don't think he will win a championship here based off what I mentioned above.
He can win 8-9-10 football games a year.
That will be a successful program just not elite status like we want and expect.

A better reference would be Kiffin, Heupel and Elko (although year 1).
They all inherited struggling programs and look to be on a good trajectory, but haven't broken through yet.
The difference is LSU has a better history of being able to reload and make the next jump.

“And all leads back to nick Saban breaking this program and putting us in the position we are in. One sec title since 2012”
You gotta let this go eventually my man. It’s going to effect your mental health and love of the game.

To be honest, I didn't see anyone blaming O last night or last week either. BK did a great job in year 1 with accomplishing what he did, he did well in year 2 to finish with 10 wins again, but last week we looked completely unprepared when the backup came in and killed us and last night was one of the worst big game performances I can remember from LSU. Everyone I saw blamed Kelly. Didn't even see O mentioned except for those questioning getting rid of O for this.

Nick Saban built your program he didn’t break it. What a moronic statement.
Amen! Saban put discipline, consistency and accountability in this program and as soon as he departed, Lesticles let it all fly out the door. Wanted to be liked more than he wanted to win.

Kelly has had to rebuild multiple position groups.
Even WR, in which Kelly inherited guys like Nabers & Brian Thomas, has not been immune to the poor roster construction Kelly inherited.
It is especially more obvious because both guys were early entrants into the NFL.
When LSU is stacking recruiting classes & rolling, this is not a huge deal. Next guy up. But next guys scheduled up in this case were supposed to be:
21 class (would be Sr’s)
Chris Hilton
Deion smith
Jack bech
22 class. (current Jr class)
Landon ibieta
Keep in mind Kelly got on board late to recruit the 22’ class, and opted to take like 20 transfers. This was the reason you win the West that year but also a reason there are no natural, home grown replacements to fill the WR position.
Your roster construction is optimized when you stack recruiting classes of good players. And honestly you need like 4-5 to really get going to see the benefits of this. It doesn’t mean you’re not expected to perform, but it’s definitely important to being a good team year after year.

Anyone with a brain knows that if LSU were to play Ole Miss and Georgia today they would get dismantled.
