The formation alone forces you widen your alignment! If they keep their BIG backers in to cover the slots, then we run routes right by them. If they go nickel/dime, we attach them with our rb's. I'll take my chances with LF& having to take on a couple extra dbs vs lbs any day! Not to mention this would open up all sorts of easy passes for our qb & still allow LF7 to go off!

the things we do on offense are mind boggling. LIning up in the I and bunching up the formation not only puts more of there men in the box but also more of ours making it even more crowded and less room to run. Just by spreading them out with formation gets people out the box and they either spread out with the offense or leave someone uncovered.

It was LB, but keep making shite up.

So it was the LB rather than a DB. And your point is? Keep throwing out red herrings.

It's simple. Coaching is a yearlong process and Saban gets it.

But when it comes to Miles and the rest of his staff, in the eyes of LSU fans, the "yearlong process" comes down to the result of one game against the best team in the country while dismissing the entire body of work.

NO, THAT'S WRONG.

I agree the players did not execute as well as they can; however, when you run the same vanilla offense forever, Alabama defense knows our offense as well as we do.

It's amazing the difference in offensive play calling imagination and use of all playmakers between us and them. I mean, not even an option to the short side for us Saturday. No wide out screens, no crossing routes underneath. No flare passes to RBs, no screens to RBs, only pass to RB was the one to LF7 overthrown in the middle. No reverses etc. The total lack of preparation and in-game adjustments by us was only surpassed by 1-9-2012.

There was no method of game planning or preparation that could have offset what occurred on both lines of scrimmage against Bama. It's that simple.

If coaching didn't matter and it just had to do with the players, Michael Jordan would've gotten a ring before Phil Jackson got to town. The truth is it requires both good players and good coaches that get the most out of those players. That is my biggest complaint with Miles. The raw talent is obviously there with the number of guys in the NFL but yet LSU has zero to show for it. That is an inescapable truth every sunshine pumping Miles lover can't get around or explain away.
