Alabama has and always will be the SEC's Golden Boy. They receive special privileges in scheduling, officiating, NCAA rules violations, suspensions, etc. As an LSU fan, I've just resigned myself to deal with it.

but I know that the majority of the people who work in the SEC HQ are Gumps or Gump wanna be's. I have a buddy who lives in Birmingham and he sent me a pic of the building parking lot the week before the 2012 BCSCG. It seemed like every freaking vehicle had Bama flags on it. It looked like a Bama tailgate party.

I wish LSU fans would quit fricking crying about everything "not fair". Act like a grown arse men for once in your lives

The "stats" look great when you aggregate all of the Alabama games against Kentucky and Tennessee.

The stats say Peterson was OOB? You won't convince me.

I don't understand how they even allow such crap.

I watched Alabama/Olé Miss game saturday, and the officials(on field and replay) took away 3 Olé Miss touchdowns on 3 consecutive plays. It was pretty hard to watch and not think some kind of bias was taking place.

And I hate Olé Miss.

Haven't you LSU fans bitching about Ritter been embarrassed enough on here about the myth of his perceived bias? How many times to people have to post the stats (STATS!) of his officiating before the whining stops?

You sure seem to have a personal affinity for him and feel compelled to defend him on another team's board.

I wonder why that could be....

Hell, Ritter blew two obvious calls in our game on the two Fournette fumbles (the one where his knee was down and the one where he had the first down prior to fumbling, only for the ball to be spotted a yard short of his forward progress).

The comment about refs not being allowed to call games involving their former schools going back to the 1960's is questionable. A good friend's dad (a Mich. grad ) called SEC & SWC games back then & he used to complain that he had to travel so much as the SEC in particular had such a hard time finding officials. The pay was next to nothing back then & he said they had no help in travel arrangements, flights, hotels, etc. As a result, a lot of alums were calling games involving their former schools as there was just not qualified officials to go around. He never clarified why but he said that a large number of officials back then were from bama & UGA. And stats are meaningless. Tell me the stats from any league game last wk involving holding calls NOT called. Simply by eating his whistle a ref can have a huge impact on any game. Ritter was just flat horrible as a ref.

Ritter for whatever reason just hates LSU. I don't know if some LSU student or fan nailed his wife while he was in town for a game or what the reason for the hate is, but it's there and it is obvious.

His poor officiating has cost us yards, touchdowns and even wins in a whole lot more games than just Bama. Look at Syracuse last year, Auburn 2006, Bama '14, Mississippi State this year... And that's just scratching the surface.

Shaw thought he was being slick by putting him in the replay booth in Birmingham. He got caught. Just find the guy a job in a different conference and get a restraining order to keep him away from SEC and especially LSU games.

Come on man, really? They have no designated parking?

He may be a good ref but he lives in Alabama and has to go home after the game. The 2024 game is a classic example of this. The ref put his hand on his flag and waiting for Vadal to react to the Bama guy refusing to let him go back to the huddle. As soon as Vidal pushed the guy off of the ref threw the flag. it was painfully obvious. Being from Ala. and living in Ala. puts a great deal of pressure to ensure Ala. succeeds even when they are not refereeing a a game that Ala. is in because they have to go home when game is over. Still believe the SEC offices should rotate every 2,3 or 4 years. Alabama should not get to be the hosting state for however many years the SEC has been in Ala.

Do you know how impractical it would be to rotate the SEC office and just how stupid that sounds?

If you LIVE in that state you can not call a game involving a state team.

This is BS. I know an SEC official who lives in Metairie and has called many LSU games. He did not attend LSU.
