Thanks to the generosity of many!

The gofundmepage she started reached its $3,000 goal in two days, and the logistics of the trip are being worked out.

In addition to cash donations, Guinn has received offers of help including donated airline miles, hotel points, even pilots willing to fly them on personal planes.

Call Tom Rinaldi now! This should be a great story. "What if I told you..."

Do you know when he'll make it? I hope it's in time.

He needs to book it fast considering how soon they moved him to hospice.

We are looking at two weeks tops.

One of my favorite comments on TD ever was about some heart tugging sports story and somebody said "Tom Rinaldi just got hard."

One of the few times I've ever actually lol'd on this site.

Just curious, why was $3,000 needed for a trip for two? Am I missing something or did people just donate over and above? ... I'm guessing the latter...

$3,000 had to be raised to actually have enough to cover what it would take to fly down here and give a couple of meals. The rest is taken in by the GoFundMe scam. It's the Red Cross of personal donations. If any of you are dumb enough to continue to donate to either of these, there's not much hope left for you.
