Brennan isn’t the problem. The shitty defense is the problem. LSU is averaging over 38 points per game.

But it is a big issue.
Not having a running game.
That's the problem not Brennan.

That is a very big problem. And I agree play calling on third down is an issue. But the QB has to get part of the blame. Even Brennan would agree. But I see nothing Brennan can’t fix and I think he has all the ability in the world to do it.

I think Brennan is doing great, but he had the ball on the 1 and four chances to get it in. It's a team game and the team, led by Brennan, couldn't move the ball 1 stinking yard.

Brennan is one of the best to ever play an for LSU and if the defense continues to suck, he will have gaudy statistics in losing efforts

Offense still has some work to do.
But their progress from game 1 to Saturday is awesome.
I think it is 45% Brennan improving with the reads, 45% Brennan managing the pocket better, and 10% the WRs just doing an all around better job with reads/routes.
As Brennan improved and started making plays, getting rid of the ball, and not running into trouble when he didn't have to the whole offense followed suit including the OL.
I know they wanted to run the ball Sat. But Mizzou knew that too. They kept a minimum of 6 in the box all game. Brennan/Callahan/CSL were making the right reads and those reads said pass and stretch field on both axis. So that's what they did. My point is not running the ball was not a negative; it was an indicator that OC and Brennan were finally on same page and reading the same keys.

Mostly true (the pass at the end was late allowing the defender to make the play) and yet...with the game on the line, he shite the bed. It is what it is. He has stats against defenses that are shite. Let’s see what he does when he finally goes up against a team with a pulse.
Throws dimes on the last drive and ends up with the ball at the half yard line.
1st and Goal - Run up the middle
2nd and Goal - Run up the middle
3rd and Goal - Play action to the flats, DE makes a great play swatting the ball.
4th and Goal - throws a catchable ball, dropped by the receiver.
Horrible goal-line play calling, but if your run game can't gain a half-yard you don't deserve the score. I would argue Brennan should have had the mental awareness to see a 9-man box selling out for the run and audible to a pass on 1st and/or 2nd down. That's 100% on coaching, giving your QB the go-ahead to make those calls, and adjustment in playcalling.
With that said, the great Joe Burrow would have a hard time winning games this season with the worst defense of the last twenty years.

Mizzou had substituted if I remember correctly. And if you throw on 1st and 2nd down you retain the ability to run or pass on 3rd and 4th down and just might catch them unawares.
I know some people threw hissy fits over it last year, but that is a perfect time to throw from bunch or heavy formation on 1st and 2nd and run from a spread formation on 3rd and 4th keeping the same personnel on the field. But to do that you have to reverse the order they did.
