That is a very safe assumption

I think he threw about 85 pitches

I do believe teams will try to maximize the innings of their LH options when playing LSU.

In the past, LSU has had a deficit of LH pitchers, and I always felt that hurt our lineup when we faced LH pitching, due to not seeing it live in practice/scrimmages

But that is clearly not an excuse now.

I don’t think it matters much. Our batters are going to struggle

Our batters were very successful against their starter -it was 3-1 before that lefty came in

I don’t think. He should be ready to go for bullpen today and could likely start tomorrow

he was garbage tho
He had 6/7 innings pitched before last night with a near 5 era. We get their ace today, coming off of a loss. We will see the true soul of this team today. If we can bounce back it will have to be because of heart and determination. We will see.

I’m sure he’s not the only lefty they have on staff. Don’t have to be great, just be a lefty!

Looks like we had pitching issues. After all, we did score 4 runs and did not win.

That kid was a highly ranked HS player last year so he's talented but he isn't State's most talented LHP Cijntje and Loftin are.

We'll see Cijntje tomorrow he's the kid who can throw 95 with both arms.State has a lot of talent it just speaks how bad of a job Chris Lemonis has done the past couple of years.

You make an interesting point. Clearly the strategy works. However, I think we need to be more aggressive with relief pitching. You just don’t get as much prep or time to figure them out. The same approach may not be as successful especially if a pitcher comes in and gets hot after a couple of batters. More first pitch swings…if they are strikes. Make them cringe to throw strikes.
