Old adage - nothing good happens after midnight - you would hope a SR QB would lead 20+ players out of a bad situation - disappointed - Les will do the right thing season be damned

My 2 cents--

If it turns out it was just your average bar fight, then I see no reason for discipline other than internally (running extra stairs etc.).

However, if one of the players did do something such as kick the guy in the face repeatedly while he was on the ground, then yes this is excessive and should be punished with a suspension...although if this is the case, the kid would likely press charges and the suspension would be the least of the player's problems.

What do you expect when you get a lot of college aged kids that think they know everything, but actually know very little. Hilarious watching the knee-jerk reactions from kids on here.
I give that 1st post a 2.75 at best.
Many here are older non atheletic fans who know more than the coaches, players and you. And arent afraid to tell you!

Probably ...But the players should be in bed resting up for a war in a few weeks...

What if coach Miles said

"After all the information I have collected, I have concluded that drunks that mouth off to our football team will continue to be sent to the hospital....we expect an apology from the punks who started this particular ordeal, thankfully JJ and others ended it pretty quickly and our Quarterback's wrist is fine."

"there will be no further questions..."I'm busy"

We don’t know to what extent our players were involved.

You know damn well he knows exactly what went on because I am sure he has talked to the players about it. I doubt they are not gonna tell him the truth when he asked because if they lie about it I am sure they will be gone.

"Hey Sports2, why would you post this on here before you even post it on your own site? Classy move..."

Why would you post on here when you have no idea what you're talking about.

You should ask Coach Ensminger what he thinks about bar fights. He was famous for them back in his player days. He and a frat brother of mine had 3 epic fights at Fred's.

I really hope not. That would be the worst thing LSU could do. It's already out there. Everyone knows something happened - just like the RP brawl.

Eh, in the grand scheme of things going on in the college football world right now, players getting into a bar room brawl is really kind of pedestrian. I doubt 2 years from now it will even be remembered by anyone outside of the state.

The best thing is get out front on it. Say the players involved are on suspension until further notice, then re-instate them as you clear them. If that's in time for them to play v. Oregon, fine. If not, then I'm OK with that, too. Those that cannot be cleared will stay suspended until the courts decide what to do.

Suspensions are OK for the NW State and W Ky games.

I don't want this to turn into a deal where the reputation of the program is tarnished. Right now, it's pretty good.

No worries, we'll be fine.

Yeah, because that's what we did while 21 and in college, before a test, a mid-term, final, work, family function, etc. We never went out and got stupid drunk.

Yeah, Ensminger had more than a few fights in his days at LSU. I saw several of them outside Fred's, though it was called FAP's in those days.

If JJ kicked a marine in the head on the ground he should be straight out expelled not suspended.

I would rather lose with class
