#4) He understands the cards GC has been playing with concerning qbs and realizes help is on the way.

5. GC can be a scapegoat for him next year if the fans are not happy with a bad season.

As much as I hate to say it, I honestly think this is the reason.

Gary Crowton is awesome when he gets a super talented, already developed QB that plays in a system he doesn't design.

Wow he is a great OC maybe we should keep him

What about all the times our punt return got exploited by short kicks hitting blockers and the other team recovering the ball? This happened more than once and at very inconvenient times.

This happens at all levels of football though. Even in the NFL. I'll take our special teams any day of the week.

LSU players are consistently under developed compared to others during the NFL combines. Has anyone considered this as a possibility for so many prestigious recruits not putting out?

Who cares how in shape they are from NFL combine results? I care about how they play in college. I don't care about how many times they can bench press 225 lbs with extremely poor form.

Squats, deadlifts, cleans >>> Bench press

This is LSUSports justification for him being good. Fourth quarter success?

Well, yeah I guess you could say that they're not tired in the 4th quarter or some shite like that.

The thing that worries me the most is what happens when Mett doesn't play and all the GC supporters want ANOTHER year in 2012 when Mett will play.

Then if Mett doesn't play well, they will say he isn't ready, still learning the Crowton system. Then when its obvious he will never learn the Crowton system, they will say he just isn't an SEC Caliber QB.

Im just curious.. at what point do you start holding players responsible for things that flat out fricking suck?

ie.. our offense and more specifcally our passing offense.

Yeah, but just wait until Rivers/2011 QB prospect to be named comes along. Then Mr. Wizard will have the missing piece the puzzle.

It's simply unfair to ask the highest paid offensive coordinator in the SEC to produce results without absolutely superior talent at every single fricking position on the field.

actually its sad.

Ive said this before on here and ill say it again.. many of you have missed your calling in life... tell matheren's grocrey sacking dept to go get fricked and start making the big bucks coaching college football.

One thing I have learned in this thread. If you are a shitty offensive coordinator, just recruit crappy QB's and don't develop them, and blame the QB's for everything.

All I can say for GC is , he must be one helluva salesman to keep landing these high paying jobs.

Please answer the ones I have asked you....the players all have come into LSU with all these accolades as being great recruits so I don't believe that all of them are busts, have no talent and are not capable of executing plays, blocks, throwing and catching passes. For me to believe that it is the players sucking would mean LSU must be jinxed since none of the players are able to execute plays yet 89 other teams (many of which have no where near the talent LSU is suppose to have) are able to be more productive.

Since I do believe we are very talented and the players aren't dumb as a brick wall I think coaching is the main cause for the sucking offensive output.

Then I should also conclude that if I did believe the players were not talented and stupid wouldn't I then need to question miles ability to recruit? Why is he recruiting players that suck. While I am not a Miles lover I do believe he is recruiting athletes that are capable of running a much better offense than we have had over the last 3 years.
