You really think Dixon would have been a heisman contender under Crowton?
We will never know for sure.

Gary Crowton isn't the only coach in the universe who has to develop inexperienced QBs. And those inexperienced QBs haven't improved one bit under Crowton's coaching.
So with any of the better OC's out there, do you think JJ and Lee would both be future NFL prospects by now?

And he took that national championship offense and made it worse then Vanderbilt and Buffalo. I can accept a mediocre offense if we have a good defense, but the offense has been far below mediocre for 2 straight seasons now and I think it's retarded to blame it on one player as opposed to the person actually in charge of the offense.
Who says I'm only blaming JJ or Lee? It should be shared between Gary and the players.

you people kill me.. already assuming ZM wont do well just bc GC is behind him.
actually its sad.
Have you never heard of highly touted qb's not being good in college? It happens all the time. There is no guarantee he will be great at LSU

You are the typical "fan" that makes me just shake my fricking head at.
Dont feel bad about it b/c this site is full of people just like you.
Do you not find it a tad bit arrogant to sit here and critisize two coaches, neither of whom you know, you dont go to practice, you dont go to film room or have any other first hand knowledege of this football team outside your seat in the southendzone, a tv, and TDroppings.
I hope you aren't an attorney and if you are.. I feel sorry for your clients, bc if you go to court with as small percentage of the facts as you do here, talking shite about these coaches, then the folks you happen to represent dont have a chance.

For the 3 people who "get it" I want to know exactly what your position is...Is it that Crowton can put a good offense on the field with a good/great qb? We know he can't adjust and get the most out of bad qb play can we agree on that at least?
I honestly think he might be able to....I wanna see what he does with Mett. If we can't get anywhere with him, then i'm all for giving Gary the boot. He hasn't had a real good QB since Flynn. I know he's not fully responsible for him, but you shouldn't give the man no credit at all for winning the NC that year.

Then if Mett doesn't play well, they will say he isn't ready, still learning the Crowton system. Then when its obvious he will never learn the Crowton system, they will say he just isn't an SEC Caliber QB.

Ten SEC teams put up better offenses in 2010.
We had the highest paid offense coordinator.
They all played SEC defenses every Saturday.

I posed questions to you that if you answer honestly should make you come to the same conclusion that I have regarding GC. I have no malice towards GC but for me to believe our offense sucks because of the players how could I ever question if a coach is the right one for the position? He is not producing and in the real world it gets you fired. The SEC is the best and if coaches don't produce they get fired....why should he get a pass?

I welcome you to try to offer me "inside" information that apparently you must know to defend Crowton the way you are. Please enlighten me b/c I am basing everything I have argued on what I have seen on gameday over the last 3 years. I do not know Crowton....only know what he has produced. At some point the man in charge has to be held accountable that he isn't getting the job done.

One thing I have learned in this thread. If you are a shitty offensive coordinator, just recruit crappy QB's and don't develop them, and blame the QB's for everything.
No, they should both get some blame

BT, serious question.
At what point, or what possible future scenario, would make you no longer trust the men with experience who get paid?

The same guy who got fired from BYU for turning their offense into dogshit and making their QBs look like retarded monkeys humping doorknobs?
The same guy who was on the skids at Oregon and made what would a year later be a Heisman nominated QB into the 80th rated passer in the country?
The same guy that has take two four-star QBs in the last three years and made them look like complete crap?
That's the guy you trust? Because he has experience and gets paid a lot of money?
That guy?

Man you are a total hippocrite. You will sit here and defend a grown man(GC) and then put all the offensive woes on a 20 year old (JJ).
So from your previous replies and you bashing us for getting on coaches blah blah blah how in the hell can you put it all on JJ. What are your qualifications to be able to make this decision?

Yep. And then when Lee had the same results in the offense as Jefferson, he blamed Jefferson for getting too may reps.
