I expect half of them to transfer within two years.
If A&M keeps them well paid with NIL money, they will likely stay.

And this is where things are hazy. Their nil contracts can not specify that they have to stay at aTm. So they can take their money and run. It then becomes a year to year situation.

aTm may be able to offer them more money than, let’s say LSU. But LSU can offer some money, a better situation, and more playing time. It’s not a tough decision for a guy who’s not happy and/or wants playing time. Or maybe just wants a change to a new coach, etc. It becomes a problem for aTm to maintain all of this.

Hence why I feel like some nil regulation is needed.

If they think they’re thin now, wait until November/December. That’s where the portal will make and break teams.

The article also mentions Korey Foreman's unimpressive start at USC. If you suck at USC, you certainly can't play here. Maybe we dodged a bullet with him. May still be a little early to tell.

K-state has always used jucos to keep their program steady. Bill Snider just ran a good ship.

Some people just need a change of scenery.

Also with the "dodged a bullet" thing, that's not the right phrase to use here. He hasn't gotten in trouble or been a locker room cancer, he just hasn't dominated. I mean look at Kardell Thomas. He got all the accolades coming out of high school, yet he hasn't done anything yet. With that said, his name has come up A LOT from media who have watched practice sessions. He could be a starter this year. Hell he wasn't too bad in spots they put him in last year.

Not every 5 star is going to explode in his first 2 years. We forget a lot of these guys dominated off of physical talent in high school which left technique lacking big time. It took Jacoby Stevens 3 years to find his spot and footing at LSU, and when he did he was a monster at the best possible time (2019).

Just so I understand what some of you all are saying, you are mad at NIL that these top teams can’t just stack entire roster with top talent because that talent can go somewhere they can play?

Poor fricking Georgia, their backups and third stringers might not all be 4 and 5 stars anymore. This is stupid and everyone who keeps whining about NIL is a jackass.

While we agree with this general idea, I would love to see how this would be organized.

Starters pay….”coach hates me, that’s why I don’t start”
Grades….”math is racist”
Seniority…”but I am starting over him”

I feel like some NIL regulation would help this a little. Stop the charade of “you can’t lure players with nil money”. Everyone knows that’s complete bull shite

Yep, Jacoby Mathews family sent him to A&M instead of LSU because they offered 50,000 more in the total package.

So Kirby is upset that he can't load his roster with 4 and 5 stars and talent might be a little more evenly distributed across the country as kids go where they have opportunities to play.

It will be hard for most to compete with the schools that pay the most money. If a coach can't win he will be on a hot seat. They have ruined college.
