In my big gambling days I was told that there had to unbalanced dollars to the tune of about $2M to move a line one full point. Have no idea if this is accurate or not. Regardless that is a huge move in such a short time.
…..unless a suspension/injury is about to be announced. And I am not a negative person.
Outside of Nuss….I cannot see any player causing such a movement.
ETA Moscona reviewed 4 injuries yesterday. S Ryan, M Frazier, C Hilton, and ...I do not recall. No one that is unreplaceable. BK said that all should be available when USC specific practices begin Saturday (closed to the media). I guess it is just money moving things.

The public is all over USC. They must have watched the Ole Miss replay that was on Anyway, does not really mean much either way. BK needs to win an opening game against a quality opponent,

It’s not very significant though.
LSU wins by 7 or 5? That’s not likely to win/lose a bet.
It did drop the moneyline lower to about -192 so I’ll just bet more on the Tigahs

It’s entirely driven by that hype and the money moving from people reacting to that hype. Nothing happened between today and yesterday that changed the potential outcome of the game, money simply moved on the line

The only thing I can figure is the books opened up their betting limits on week 1 games and some betting syndicate came in large on USC.
Vegas typically doesn't do this until Thursday of game week but with it being week 1 maybe they did it a week early.
Otherwise multiple suspensions or some other calamity may be in our future

It could also indicate sharp money coming in which will swing lines like a lot of public money coming in on one side. It’s not totally crazy to think USC covers or wins this game outright. I still get PTSD thinking about last years defense and a lot of those guys are back. Should be a shootout and might come down to the last possession.

I heard this last year from all of the betting experts on the rant before we played Florida State as well. We’re gonna get USC’s best shot. We should just hope we play up to our capabilities and get a win any way we can in week 1.
