The offense left a lot to be desired in the two losses.
For anyone who was at the UF game (if you recall it was on a November at 11 am and the attendance was very poor) you could very clearly hear a fan yell after the failed 4th down "That's some LES MILES shite!!" from behind the LSU sidelines around midfield.

yeah the SEC was tougher in 2017...if you're a complete moron.

Yes what Nick Saban has done at Alabama is unprecedented, but this thread is about Eddy O and LSU!

You judge the strength of the sec by how many coaches aren't fired...wow you really are a moron. Have a nice day. I will not respond to an idiot.

This thread is like going down the rabbit hole. A virtual, verbal acid trip.

Why do you leave out Auburn?
Because they were #12 in the final 2017 coaches poll and I was specifically mentioning Top 10 teams? Did you want that specified despite the fact that I named them #10 in the AP poll in the sentence right above that and included them in the top 25 teams number?

to make your argument look stronger is deceitful...basically lying.
LULZ, resorting to the same old Ben and Rog tactic of calling someone a liar when you get absolutely dismantled with clear provable facts.
ETA: you still haven't explained how the ranking of UGA (who LSU didn't play) affected the difficulty of the SEC that O faced in 2017.

I and others have said multiple times that the SEC was better in 2005 and produced numerous facts in support of the position.
SEC teams won as many games in 2018 as they did in 2005. Actually more, but some teams played one more game due to schedule expansion.
LSUs SEC schedule was tougher in 2018 than it was in 2005.
So no, it wasn't.

Tell me about it.
You gotta be high on something to think the 2017 SEC was better than any version of the SEC the last 15 years!

Just based on having 2 teams finish 1 & 2 in 2017 is proof that the SEC was better than 2005 when our top 2 teams were 6 & 8. Not to mention only 4 teams with losing records in 2017 out of 14 compared to 6 of 12 in 2005. It really shouldn't even be debatable but continue with your wrong opinion

Is UGA in the SEC? The argument is about the SEC being better now than it was when CLM took over...yall are the ones who couldn't grasp the simple statement that "the sec is a tougher conference in 2017 than it was in 2005"

If the root of the discussion is whether Miles faced a tougher SEC in 2005 versus the SEC O faced in 2017, how can you possibly include a team that O didn't even play? I'd love to know.
One of which, coincidentally, was O. That fact aside, of the 9 SEC teams LSU played in 2005, five ended with losing records in the SEC. Of the 8 SEC teams LSU played in 2017, 4 teams had a losing SEC record. I guess that one additional team with a losing record created a murderer's row for O!

because it isn't about the schedule its about the conference

well damn yall are arguing the SEC was tougher when O was a coach in the SEC...now that's funny

In 2017, the SEC West had a winning pct of ,628. The SEC East had a winning pctg of .544
in 2005, the SEC West had a winning pctg of .51. The SEC East had a winning pctg of .55
These do not count LSU, we are talking about LSU's opponents.
How do you determine the SEC was better in 2005?

This is the kind of disingenuous that ought to get you shunned from honest debate.
The issue IS NOT the raw strength of the totality of the SEC, but how difficult was the SEC THAT EACH RESPECTIVE COACH FACED?
shite...suggesting that Orgeron faced as tough an SEC slate using this argument is like bragging to some co-worker about the strength of the SEC when what you're actually bragging about is how dominant BAMA has been.
Which coach faced the toughest SEC opponents in 2005 and 2017?

By virtue of the fact that 6 coaches lost their job in 2017.
It’s not that hard you don’t have to make it harder than it needs to be.

The SEC, again, is a national champion. For all the criticism the conference received throughout 2017, the SEC ended up placing two teams in the national championship game. That strength at the top helps make up for a 5-6 record in bowl games and what was considered a generally underwhelming year for the conference that resulted in six head coaching changes.

pretty funny you think the top heavy nature of 2017 means it was a better conference as if the other 12 teams don't mean shite.
