2005 saw 6 of 12 teams finish with a 5-3 record or better in conference play.
2017 saw 5 of 14 finish with a 5-3 record or better in conference play.
We can do this all day, and it will always yield the same result:
2005 was a tougher conference.
why are we even talking about this?!?!!?
2019 season is 2 1/2 months away.
Fall camp is like 6 weeks away.
but you all cannot leave well enough alone to just fricking drop it and talk about the season at hand.

LSUs SEC regular season opponents had a higher winning pctg in 2017 than LSUs SEC opponents in 2005.
what does that have to do with the price of tea in china??

what was considered a generally underwhelming year for the conference that resulted in six head coaching changes.

Just your opinion.
and 2006-2007 were much much worse.

In 2005 the SEC had half the conference teams with losing records
In 2017, there were 4.

lol now you are just straight pulling shite out of your arse.
2006 and 2007 SEC were as good as the SEC has been at any point since the turn of the century.

The issue IS NOT the raw strength of the totality of the SEC, but how difficult was the SEC THAT EACH RESPECTIVE COACH FACED?
Coach O has had such a hard go since 2016, you know he's had to face Alabama AND Clemson?????

you wanna keep being a disingenuous arse? I will keep showing where you are telling half truths.
you wanna drop this and talk 2019 LSU? that will be much more pleasant, for all parties.

28% >> 50%
Besides LSU, the SEC only had 5 teams with winning records in 2005.

LSU played four of those five teams.
Want to guess how many SEC teams with winning records LSU played in 2017? Four.

With a higher winning pctg
We only played 4 of those teams in 2005 if you count the SEC championship, which we lost by 20 points.
It was a terribly weak year in the SEC

LULZ I was waiting for it, trying to penalize Miles for actually making the SEC Championship Game in his first season

So now we can get the logic straight:
We need to account for the wins and losses of teams that LSU didn't play to make O look better and we need to discount an SEC team that Miles did play because it was in the SEC Championship game and makes him look better and O look worse.

It's not his fault the SEC was terribly weak that year.
It's ok, you can rest. I promise I'm not criticizing your idol.

from the guy who claims to be a Nega O?
Who told others not to "normalize Orgeron?"
I've proven you wrong, and you're pissy.

Orgeron’s challenge remains, beat Alabama. Which appears impossible since he’s not even been able to at least appear competitive against Saban and Alabama.what happens if Orgeron beats Saban, what happens if LSU gets embarrassed, again?
Posted on 6/19/19 at 2:03 pm to RogerTheShrubber
that's an excellent rebuttal.
so since you've finally dropped this silliness are you ready to discuss the current year?
