You’re comparing a coach with two years vs coach with 12 yrs ... sounds reasonable.

Now all of a sudden a fiesta bowl 10 win season is “VERY avg” season for Swamp king in his 2nd full yr.

I swear.....you people are fricked in the head.

So against better defenses offenses usually don't perform as well as they do against weaker defenses...that is crazy stuff man...who knew. I wonder if our defense played better vs bad offenses also

They perform competently. If you can't expect LSU's offense to be reasonably competent against Top 30 defenses, do you think they ever have a chance of winning a championship?

Correct. I wasn't a hypocrite and you just tried your luck thinking you wouldn't get called

You're forgiven.

Fact is, Ed Orgeron has been VERY average as HC. He has not been any real upgrade over the guy we all eventually wanted fired, and there has been a glaring double stand when discussing his time here. At some point, that's going to have to matter.

This is a matter of opinion and yours is no better than anyone else's.

So when I post your entire history it's submitting but that's all you have to do to prove a point against someone else.

This is called being a hypocrite Roger.

It is? Hell, I thought us going 9-4 in 2017 actually happened.

I thought us having a worse ranked offense in 2017 and 2018 then we did in 2015 actually happened.

I'd swear we lost to Troy in 2017.

All of these things (and more) are just my opinion?

Damn Roger. Please accept my apology..

Bingo

It's time to get the shots in now, season is less than 6 weeks away. After that, opinion goes out the window

I'm comparing LSU's current HC to LSU's previous HC. how else should we do it?

Do you want me to compare them at their year one totals? Ok.

Year One Miles:
11-2 with an SECW title and bowl win.

Year One Orgeron:
9-4 with a Citrus Bowl loss

How about Year 2?

Year Two Miles:
11-2 Sugar Bowl win

Year 2 Orgeron:
10-3 Fiesta Bowl win

Again...Miles performed better. And unless Orgeron wins the NC this year, he'll be far behind.

Why not just tell us when we CAN expect from our current head coach what fans expected from the previous one immediately after he took the whistle from Nick Saban?

It would be unfair to hold Orgeron to the same standard in 3 years though. It's just.......unfair.

That didn't get Miles fired

Orgeron has outperformed Miles from 2014 on. You know, the unacceptable years.

Things are better. Not enough, maybe but improved.

I'm going use one of Roger's favorite lines, Miles is gone. Let the man go. The wins he racked up here were sweet. His losses sucked arse. But all that is history.

Again, the only thing that matters now is what o has done and will be able to do going forward.

But see, here's the thing. They can't frame the coach's "trying to fix the offense" without bringing up Miles. If they judge it on its own, it just looks really bad so far. So they have to compare him to Miles to say "well at least he's trying to change."

Basically it's "Miles is gone, get over it" until they have to make a point about the offense.

Birdman said that you guys label anyone who has concerns about the football team as haters and want the program to fail.

I don't know why you knuckleheads act and think that way, but you do.

So yes. I agree with what birdman said in his post.

Sorry that crushes your soul Roger.
