Very true. This “best roster ranking” includes the 2014 and 2015 recruiting classes. So Ricky is claiming that LSU has one of the best rosters based on including:

Leonard Fournette
Malachi Dupree
Travonte Valentine
Clifton Garrett
Jamal Adams
Darrius Guice
Tyron Johnson
Maea Tuehema
Kevin Toliver
Donte Jackson
...And many other highly ranked prospects that weren’t at LSU is 2018.

Never let the facts get in the way of a bullshite Ricky argument.

Stoops last? They went 10-3 and beat Florida. He’s turning them around. Of course they are in the East but give credit where credit is due.

From the passage you quoted:

quote:

Obviously, this doesn't take into account attrition. However, with a five-year window in place, this should be considered relatively even across the conference.

Did other schools not suffer attrition, early draftees, busts, etc? That list also wouldn’t include additions such as Burrow, Fehoko, Giles ( ), etc.

So unless you are going to go through and recalculate every team on that list, this seems to be as fair a representation of talent as anyone can provide

Go back and read Ricky's statement. He claims that Athlon Magazine decided that LSU had the 6th best roster. In fact, Athlon did nothing of the sort, they only averaged the last five recruiting cycles to compare CONFERENCES.

They're all "good enough", that's not what I am saying. Looking at a 5-year recruiting average, when many of the top players are gone, doesn't really tell you where you are today.

It’s amusing in 2015 LSU is championed as one of the most talented teams in the nation/SEC and all failures are coaching related. Fast forward 2+ plus yrs and failures are talent related. Go figure

Right, but what I posted is not a 5 year average.

Yeah, but what does that have to do with Ricky's assertion that Athlon ranked LSU's roster at 6 then predicted 6-6 to 7-5, thus saying Orgeron is a garbage coach?

We can't have anyone saying positive things about any HC at LSU.

The third world attitude here is chilling.

I guess you have a problem with fans going back 30+ years then. It's nothing new.

Might as well just accept it.

Well the masses here love to talk about roster rankings, until you point out that Bama has 3x as many five star players on their team than does LSU.
