We’re averaging the #6 class in the timeframe you posted. We finished around #6 this year. I’d say we are right on line with how we are recruiting.
I wonder how many other teams with that high of a recruiting class average have performed worse in the regular season.

Oh man, some great stuff in those links.
Even ol Shrubs was impressed with the offense.
Now Canada's an unemployed bum according to him.

Roger contradicting himself??

The only SEC defenses that are any good are LSU, Bama and UFs secondary
looooooooooool.
man, for a conference that was better in 2017 than it was in 2005, I am shocked that it only produced 2 and 1/3 good defenses

1, USC.
ironically enough, I bet it won't take long for an LSU fan to come in here and tell you about how much better off they'd be if they had just hired O in 2013.

nd yet...he was hired by Ed Orgeron. Or are we still pretending Joe Alleva hired our OC
Wait. You're going to pretend that Alleva didn't wasn't up to his arse in that hire? Who are these supposedly new posters that have come here to rehash all of these old arguments. As if they haven't been discussed until we're all blue in the face. You aren't bringing anything new to the table. You certainly aren't winning anyone over to your side of the argument so what's the point again?

I agree with you. No way O is competent enough to make that big of a hire. There was no choice, but to get guidance from Alleva

So Ed Orgeron had an offensive coordinator forced upon him by the athletic director??

That thread: BYU is better than people give them credit for.
This thread: That BYU team was terrible.

Ok so is he listed as the starting TE or not?

Grimaced? That's not how I remember it.
57 runs to 18 passes was not what anyone expected.

He started there in the spring game.
the lengths you’ll go to not admit you were wrong in the face of facts is impressive.

You can see the thread for yourself. I see very few people calling the offense terrible.

You should stop acting like you are speaking on behalf of anyone except yourself.

We’re you an LSU fan in the Richard Murphy days?

Lol I knew that was coming.
Tell ya what...why don’t you tell me who the starting TE will be 8/31??

Nope.
I said BYUs defense was better than most think, which turned out to be terribly wrong. I liked that we tried to spread it out, but by game three I had seen enough

The future off-season threads are going to have trouble competing with this one. We're now arguing over who the starting TE is going to be in an attempt to make a point about the successes of prior recruiting classes.

He HAS TO be better than the 2010-2013 run...the run which, ultimately, began all the "underachieving" talk around Baton Rouge. 2014 and the collapse at the end of 2015 were what made the move possible, but it started years before that.
Keep in mind it...it wasnt just the underachieving. Bad sideline calls, archaic offense, and tons of junior defections didnt help his cause either.

Well hopefully we aren’t all bitching at each other next offseason because the only topic getting any traction is hopefully “how does O defend the national title?”
Posted on 6/24/19 at 7:52 pm to tandrews37
Amen, brother. That is unless a few of us are on suicide watch because Coach O won a title.
