Oh yes of course how could I forget, with all of us haters putting some Gris Gris on O all offseason.

How will I ever handle having to tell a bunch of strangers on the internet I was wrong about a 57 year old also ran who took a sabbatical from coaching?!?

What about your comments on the state of SEC defenses in 2017 Roger??

Feel free to clarify if you were talking about the state of 2005 defenses, since ya know, the SEC was worse in 2005 than it was in 2017.

Who are these supposedly new posters that have come here to rehash all of these old arguments. As if they haven't been discussed until we're all blue in the face.

oh no ben. there are new posters that aren't worshipping at O's alter like you. will you make it to the season or will you also agree they deserve to die?

serious question little guy....

if youre this upset with questioning O with actual football issues where were you when people like Topwater Trout was calling Miles a retard and making constant personal attacks towards him ,that had nothing to do with football ,for the last 4 years of his tenure?

its almost like youre just an O fan.

Oh, and you still haven't commented on this

Win a natty win at a high level constantly recruit at a high level. I don’t see the issue. Who for sure is better ? Results speak for themselves. Tougher mountain this go around for him though

Help me out here, Rog. 2005 was pretty much the peak of my partying phase and the only things I remember about '05 relating to football are the Tennessee disaster and the SEC Championship loss. But, I thought the SEC was good that year and that the conference in 2017 was "historically" bad (obvious hyperbole). I could be totally wrong here. If it takes half of a page to explain it, please don't bother. But, if you could summarize it in so many words I would appreciate it. Thanks.

He answered this in this thread like 30 pages back. it basically boils down to Alabama wasn't Alabama yet, the MS schools sucked and aTm hadn't been added yet.

But no, the 2017 SEC was historically bad, this has been documented.

Half the teams in the conference had losing records. It was terrible.

But Miles did a great job that year in some shitty circumstances regardless of schedule

Well, shite. I haven't been reading the whole thread and just been checking in here and there. If I'm not mistaken our SOS in 2017 was like 27 something so that's what made me think that it would have been the year that the SEC would have been the most down.

So admirable considering that he had never dealt with a hurricane before and most probably not a natural disaster of the magnitude either.

2017 the SEC had a losing record against other P5 schools (7-8) and a losing record in bowl season (4-5).

You act like this is something out of the ordinary for the SEC. but that ridiculous ranking has a 7-5 Iowa team above an 11-2 LSU team That's a major issue

I guess rankings are important yet again Number 6 finish

rankings based on data entry. not on the whims of 65 randomly selected sports journalists.

Looks like the writers are better

Your link has Iowa finished ahead of LSU. No one else has them ranked

It also has LSU, at 11-2, out if the top ten

well of course they are silly roger, they were propped up by all those hollow victories against shitty SEC teams

so even though 12 teams, in your own words, couldn't field a defense, you still will sit here today and claim 2017 was better?

Hilarious.
