Yes, there's plenty he needs to be improve on, namely his comfort level with shooting the mid-range jumper. But there's nothing the 6-10, 240-pounder can't do. Nickname him in "Ragu", because it's all in there. From prodigious passing and a penchant for connecting on difficult, off balance, shots in the lane to deft dribbling ability and hardnosed rebounding, the Austrailian possesses an altogether unique set of skills.

The LSU product put them all on display in six summer league games in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, averaging 10.8 points, 7.7 rebounds 5.5 assists and a steal while playing just under 30 minutes per game. He saved his best for last, posting his lone double-double with 15 points, 10 boards and six assists in a 74-66 win against the Heat this past Friday.

His passing is unbelievable. He's going to be unstoppable if he can get a consistent jumper.

I truly don't understand why LSU fans pull against Ben. I get it if you aren't a fan of him but wanting him to not succeed is a disgrace.

We all know while he was at LSU that the basketball program had much more problems than Simmons not "taking over games" and "leading us to the tournament".

I mean for Christ sake he was a great player for LSU. He set SEC records that no players in the history have ever done.

Good luck with your future Simmons.

He is playing against other nba rookies,2nd year players, and lesser known free agents. Its probably the 3rd or 4th most talented basketball league on the planet.

You clearly dont watch the current nba if you think their are multiple teams being really physical out there on the court. Hell the legit 5 rim protector is all but gone in todays nba.

He scired 10 a game in summer league. That is not good. He will def struggle next season to score.

D. Lillard scored 25 a game in SL. Curry, 18. Klay Thompson 22. All as rookies afterndraft.

If you cant light up summer league you are Austin Rivers.
