Everything coming out of last spring indicated Nuss should have been the guy. And it would be beneficial to everyone for Howard to get some live reps.

Terrible idea. Get the game in hand and then you can rotate the younger QBs in. But you don't keep your starting QB on the bench when he is healthy just to see what you got in the younger QBs with a chance to win a 10th game.
