was at legend's two years ago upstairs and this jacked up 6'2ish guy walks up to the bar next to me. he starts talking to me about the game etc. didn't recognize so i said to him that he had to have played football at lsu. he had a great response and said that he didn't but was on the chess team. keep talking to him and it was shedrick wilson. ended up buying each other a couple of rounds. really really nice guy. haven't seen him there since.

Was seated next to Sylvia Fowles on a flight from Atlanta to Rome back in 2007. I believe she was headed over for a USWNT game against the Italians in Naples. She was quite shy but very nice and amazed that I knew about LSU sports and therefore knew who she was.
Also was on a flight with Kelvin Sheppard and Dwayne Bowe in 2006 I believe (whatever year Sheppard redshirted). It was shortly before the season started and Bowe was describing to Sheppard what it was like to travel for away games and what the stadiums were like, etc. They also talked recruiting a bit and Sheppard was telling Bowe about this new QB that Florida had signed and how awesome he was going to be in college. Bowe said he never heard of him and couldn't care less. They were talking about Tebow.

played ball with cyrus black, herman johnson, and a few other players all the time in the rec
it sucked balls when i was the biggest and had to guard them... walk out the gym drenched in sweat
one time joe addai came back to the rec to hang out with a few of them shortly after he won the super bowl with the colts, got to congratulate him and take a look at his ring
that same day T. Thomas and a few other basketball players were playing a pickup game in the rec with a few football players like big herm, c. black and that shitty little white basketball player LSU had at the time, Greg Terrebone. I swear T.Thomas threw his layups onto the upstairs track TWICE. fricking hilarious.
also went over to a buddy's place a few times who used to have dwayne bowe and a few other receivers over there playing halo all the time, i've never seen guys talk so much shite over a video game
there were always girls sitting in chairs off in the corner of the room just silent waiting for them to finish playing halo so they could leave
dwayne bowe was probably the coolest i've met and talked to
and i swear i didn't go to tiger land and NOT see justin vincent in there my entire time at LSU
oh yea and had a class with tasmin mitchell ... that dude was D-U-M-B

Bought Glen Dorsey a handgranade on Bourbon Street after the Tulane game in 07.
Witnessed Matt Flynn's birdie on hole #6 at the U Club.
Saw Herman Johnson at the Circle K on Highland after the UF game in 07. The line was out the door and he had literally 15 cases of Natural Light. Every 2 minutes the line didn't move he would just groan "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!".
Saw Colt David's DWI. He kept yelling "Do you know who I am!"

Oh yea, I worked out next to Jordan Jefferson at the Venue (his girl lived there). He put the tredmill on the highest speed and the steepest incline and fell off the damn thing. I yelled at him "PLEASE don't get hurt!"

beat Jarrett Lee, Josh D, Alex Russian and Will Blackwell in beer pong freshman year.
explained the entire French Revolution to jordan jefferson in 2 minutes before our western civ final.
chilled with colt david (who was by himself) at a ryan cabrera concert in dallas for the oregon game.
One time in statistics class the prof asked what are some characteristics that men like in women and before anyone could raise their hand Drake Nevis shouts out, "I like them big ole titties"

I officiated the Opelousas/St. Thomas More game Devery's senior year. We had a couple of young guys on our crew and before the game we told them that whatever happens, when #(whatever he was) has the ball you never blow your whistle. So of course during the game we had a play where he ran up the middle and looked like he was stopped. All of a sudden he is around the right side and gone 60 plus yards down the sideline for a TD. Devery was the fastest high school player I ever saw.

Helped carry Josh Jasper to a chicks car outside of shady's. Jamarcus Russel helped me carry one of my drunk friends up the stairs at highland plantation. One of my high school friends is/was close with dorsey. Me, him, one of our other friends, putt, and herman johnson all loaded up in my friends car and went to Reggies one night freshman year. I took a shot with putt and herman johnson. Now THATS a CSB.

Had an elective "criminal Justice" that had a few players in it.....we took a field trip to Angola State Pen. What a freakin' trip! Wendell Davis knew a bunch of home boyz from S'Port.. Wendell was a really good dude...it was just funny that guys were yelling out to him as we walked through. He stopped and wrapped for a while with one guy that he grew up with. Sammy Martin was with us as well. He may actually be there now...

Me and several buddies Got jumped by a bunch of football players and other athletes outside Reggie's after pushing one off of my girlfriend (now wife). Who he was physically harassing. Long story short they never knocked us out and Melvin Oliver ended it when he threatened all of the ones jumping us....
Then cops threatened to arrest us for fighting...
P.S. I was loving all the shady's drama last year. Karma's a b!tc$

We were seniors in high school playing ball with Pistol Pete in 1986-1987.
Winner!
Here's 2 honorable mentions:
In the late '70's John Garlington was good friends with my HS basket ball coach and would work out with us during basketball practice. For you young folks who don't know who John Garlington is, he was an All-American in the late '60's.
Charlie Hennigan would come to my grandparent's house and then later to our house on some holidays. He was raised down the street from my dad's parents in Minden. He went to LSU on a track scholarship and was a member of the 1954 SEC Conference Champion Mile-Relay Team. He transferred to NSU at the end of his freshmen year because they wouldn't let him play football. He later went on to the AFL and was a record setting receiver. It was cool for a young kid to visit with an AFL star.

I had an English class with Tito Horford. Later I had a Speech Communications class with Chris Jackson and Vernel Singleton (only 30 in the class). Played intramural basketball against Jamie Brandon the year he sat out. Played pickup basketball with Mike Hansen, Justin Anderson, and Geert Hammink on a regular basis. Raced Geert mulitple times in the 40 wearing flip-flops and beat him while crossing the finish line high-stepping backwards. Was close friends with Andy Diechert, a six-time All-American swimmer at LSU, Dated the captain of the LSU Women's Swim team. Partied with the Basketball, Swimming and Diving teams 89-91 on a regular basis.
