I believe Chris Carrier had some interceptions against #1 FU Gators in 1997. The night the goalposts came down.

I'll claim Spencer to Eunice, we'll take him.

This scott fella posting I believe is the scott I'm thinking of.

Trey L is good people. Didn't go to school with him, but my brothers did. Cool guy to be around. When I was a kid he was my favorite player at LSU, clearly because he was from town. Still cool in my head that I get to bullshite with him from time to time.

Surprised no one is shitting on Eunice in this thread yet, thanks for that , it's not a bad place.

All these "king of Eunice" references and the actual king of Eunice is posting in this thread. If you live in Eunice it's not hard to figure out.

I lived in Eunice for 40 yrs. Just to answer some questions.
Yes, Trey is Willis Langley's son
Keith Ortego grew up on the corner of Park Avenue and South 5th or 6th I think so yea, not far from Elm St anyway. His stepfather had the poultry house and Mama's Fried Chicken.
Kyries Hebert was another tall safety from Eunice that played in the NFL yrs after Chris Carrier. Played college at UL
Jason Daire did indeed live just outside of Eunice and prepped at St Eds.

Is it true that Eunice people look down their noses at the fine residents of Crowley, or do both save their antipathy for the pitiful inhabitants of Rayne?

Lol. I don't know what goes on there now. I've been gone for 16 yrs but Eunice and Crowley were kind of natural enemies at the time. Roughly the same size and 20miles apart

I'm siding with Crowley, because Devillier was from Eunice and I don't like Devillier. Dat man stole my parking spot one Sunday over at St Mathilda. Said it was his regular spot an I was a Church carpetbagger. Like he is so special and some kind of bigshot. Dat summabitch. Imma run him over if I see him outside at Trappers grocery .

(How 100 year blood feuds start with Acadiana country folks).

Never heard of Eunice people looking down their noses at Crowley people.
Crowley is a historic city filled with rich people.
If anything it's the other way around.

As far as I know Willis was from Eunice but he could have been born somewhere else. I moved away from Eunice when I was 14 but I still have a brother and a sister there. Mr Willis was older than me by quite a bit but he was a really nice man and we had close mutual friends. Eunice had some great athletes over the years. My nephew played on a Championship football team with Kevin Carrier. He was a solid QB for Eunice. LSU got its share of good players from there. So did McNeese.
