I loved Speedy coming out, he's still amazeballs. Pissed we didn't get him, but I don't blame him. But last night was a huge toolbag move, imo, and that's why it somewhat struck a nerve with me

Maybe "childish adult" is a better descriptor for Speedy.
People all to often selectively use the "kid" description in an effort to minimize foolish and/or unethical behavior of certain persons in early adulthood.
Calling a family member a kid because you watched he/she grow up and he/she is still a young adult is a bit different.

Your point would make a lot more sense if a group of LSU fans were at the game chanting "overrated" at Noil.
But that's not what happened.
When you started to turn this towards LSU fans, many of whom are admittedly bitter towards Noil, you sounded like a troll or a Tulane fan.
Either way, in this context, it was Noil that was butthurt not LSU fans.

I am sure all of us did stupid things at that age, but how many went out of there way at age 19 to disrespect people from their home state and heckle high school players. These are not typical adult mistakes or behaviors. They are base, foolish, and self-centered forms of attention-seeking.

I don't see the big deal with this, Simmons is the star player on the other team and as a fan you want to do what ever you can to get in his head. I could see if Simmons was the 3rd or 4th best guy on the team, but he is the number 1 player in high school right now. People read too much into this crap making it sound like they are butthurt he didn't come to LSU. Why would we care what speedy nail was doing? Should have been a thread about Ben Simmons tearing it up while overrated chants failed to rattle him.
