I found this while googling. Read no.9
Gruden Prediction

It seems Tony Barnhart from CBS sports started it back in August when he said:

"...the Tigers should be 5-0 when they go to Florida on Oct. 9. They won't win in the Swamp and then the complaints will start. You will hear the name of Jon Gruden. You will also hear the name of Will Muschamp."

Lol, I'm not pushing the Gruden thing; but I did heard about it this morning. The only place I could find any info on it (in writing) was tigerdroppings.com, and mostly what I found are just postings that people want him, or to shut up about him...so I just made an account to share the link I found from a sports writer.

You have to admit some of Tony Barnhart's predictions are pretty spot on.

this is where it came from as I posted in the thread earlier. charlie hanagriff addressed this last wednesday night:

The whole thing behind it is that his agent used LSU as leverage in negotiating with the Raiders years ago when LSU's job was open.

The trends that fit are that Gruden rules like a dictator. He wants absolute control over everything in his system. In the NFL with meddling owners those days are over for coached like him. He has said before a college job at a top tier program would be ideal. LSU would be in that breath as he has said he likes this area. Besides that College coaches now make nearly as much as NFL coaches. So there would be no disparage in pay. It would come down to would he want to dedicate the time to recruiting and such.

Having said tht though, Gruden is an NFL coach and will get NFL offers. Giants, Cowboys, Jags, and most likely one other team will be looking for new coaches this year. Gruden will get some offers.

John Gruden will never coach in college. I don't know people think he's going to do that.
