Sound System at South Carolina

On TV, it sounded like South Carolina was using a sound system to excite the crowd when LSU was coming to the line on offense, particularly, toward the end of the game. Can anyone at the game verify this was or was not happening?
It is illegal for SEC teams to use piped in sound such as this at any other time than pregame, timeouts, and halftime. Auburn pulled this cheap stuff two years ago when the Tigers played there. They blasted the "Crazy Train" laugh at earth shattering decibels every time our Tigers were trying to run the offense. The sound was twice as loud as the crowd actually got and made it impossible to hear the playcall in the huddle. A couple weeks later in 2006, Florida played at Auburn, experienced the same sound system, and reported Auburn for this. And I believe Auburn was fined by the SEC.
If Carolina was doing the same, they need to be reported.
This is just one of the great things about Tiger Stadium. The Golden Band from Tigerland and the fans provides all the noise needed without relying on artificial piped in sound.

I actually noticed that as well. It was patently obvious on television.

I was at Auburn and don't remember anything being pumped in, you sure that is a verified story and not just rumor?

They did play a lot of recorded music. But overall, I was not very impressed with their crowd. Nothing like Jordan Hare or UF.
Their team is down by on score with 4 minutes left and they (the fans) are heading for the exits?
Crowd noise was not very impressive at all.

did the band play Thus Spoke Therathustra(intro song) or was that the system?

Port City, It was the Auburn-LSU game at Auburn in 2006, not this year. Auburn stopped doing this after being reported on this rules violation.

Beaux, it's ironic that Florida reported Auburn for this, when they do something very similar in the Swamp. They have mics to amplify their band music, which they leave turned on all game long, even when the band isn't playing. This amplifies the crowd noise as well.

They amplify the band. Wow! Isn't that pathetic.
Sounds like something Tulane would do to make you think they have more than 5,000 fans in the dome. Only problem, Tulane doesn't have a band.

It was kind of weird... I like the sound system they used but not the way they used it.
they played crazy train, thunder struck and a couple other tunes on the sound system and had the rooster cock a doodle doo at ear splitting volume, but then their band would play and you couldn't hear them... at one point in the 3rd quarter TGBFT was playing "Hey baby" and I was looking around because the acoustics made it sound like it was coming from the SC band...
They also had huge speakers set up next to the cheerleaders and you would hear the guy cheerleader counting off the "GAME" - "COCKS" back and forth for each side of the stadium...
Their band played very littl and what they did play you couldn't here very well. They piped the recording of Also Sprach Zarathustra through the sound system. Was cool, but would have meant more if their band did it..
Overall nice stadium, like Kentucky's it reminded me of a baby NFL stadium, not as much character as Tiger Stadium... maybe I'm biased..
