Sorry, I just don't buy that Auburn hates Bama more than

LSU fans do.
Let's put it this way... even when you want to be the top program in your state there's going to be a certain level of pride in the fact that boys from your state are doing well.
We here in Louisiana have no such innate love for Alabamians.
I started following college football in 1959. I knew even way back then that Alabama cheats and cheats and cheats. I have no respect for that program, whatsoever.
Let's put it this way... even when you want to be the top program in your state there's going to be a certain level of pride in the fact that boys from your state are doing well.

Lived in Bham for 5 years. NO QUESTION that Auburn fans hate Bama more than LSU fans.

I like LSU and cheer for them in every game except one.
Auburn, I hate as a concept with a deep-seated hatred that is so deep in my bones I have passed it on to my children genetically.
If Auburn was playing Al Qaeda, I wouldn't cheer for Al Qaeda, but I would want them to win.

I feel the same way as a Tech fan against LSU most of the time. It's nothing too personal, that's just how it is. I understand how Bama and Auburn feel.

Yeah but at least Auburn and Alabama are at pretty much the same level over the years. LA Tech isn't anywhere close to LSU. The hate's not the same.

You may hate them, but trust me; until you've lived here for extensive periods of time; it just really doesn't become clear just how much the Auburn fanbase loathes Alabama.
