If you want to rile up a Sooner, just mention how Oregon beat them in Eugene. hahahaha. Be prepared for a blasting rant. In all fairness, the game was poorly officiated, but it went both ways, which they won't recognize. They sent death threats. The Prezeedunt of thair fine Univertisy even chimed in. Hilarious.

Before the game they were all gracious, afterward they weren't. Sooner fans and Boise fans are the very worst.

Just remember, you can't spell POUT without OU!!. (Ducks are UO)

While the game was piss poor officiated they were royally screwed by the refs on that fumble recovery that the replay official later confirmed he did see the Sooners recover but failed to overturn the call...

As an LSU fan, I wouldn't be caught dead in a Texas shirt.

When the air smells foul everywhere you go, you might consider the distinct possibility that the source of the stench is yourself.

from their board:
quote:

Little kids were screaming and cussing at us along with elderly people. I was amazed at the lack of class with those people.

been going to LSU games for as long as i can remember and i've never seen this. somehow this happens to hundreds of opposing fans every year though, odd.

Am I the only one who thinks this is most likely 100% bullshite? I've attending games at Cal, Oregon State, Washington, Tennessee, Rose Bowl (Ohio State), and the National Championship (Auburn) and I have never had one bad experience. Sure we had some pre/post game banter, but nothing terrifying or nothing I will never forget. It was all in good fun. I'm not saying this stuff doesn't happen from time to time (ex: youtube video of Ohio State fans getting pelted by beers from Penn State fans), but it is extremely rare in my opinion. I am going to the LSU game this year in Dallas and I fully expect to have a great time, win or lose

I find it odd that Oklahoma fans had such a different experience than Ohio State fans. Maybe OSU fans just have thicker skin when it comes to getting tiger baited.

OU fans were the most miserable collective of individuals I've ever been around in college football. This was both prior to, during, and after the game.

I have no desire to ever be around their fanbase again.

Ohio State's fans were actually quite fun.

Perfect description. The only other fanbase I despise is Ole Miss and that's a rivalry thing. Prior to the NC Game, OU was just another school as far as I was concerned. Forty-eight hours later, I concluded on who had the worse fans in all of college football.

Jerk fans are everywhere, but I'm thinking that BCSNC game results was hard for many OU fans to stomach.

With their HT QB and like 5 AA players, they firmly believed they would go to N.O. and have a no doubter win.

Anyway, bad mouthing a teams fans is pretty normal for losing fans.

OU fans talked more BS before the game than any other fan base I can remember and then karma came around and they got it ten fold after the game. They can dish it, but they cant take it.

OU has the most pathetic fans Ive ever seen. For 3 or 4 years after we beat them, they had fans go on our bowl opponent's message boards and warn them about how awful are fans were (Iowa, Notre Dame, Miami, and Ohio State boards). Everytime after the game I read those boards and those fan bases had pretty much nothing but good things to say about us. hmmmmmmm....maybe OU is the problem, not us

A week after the 2003 National Championship game I was driving south on I-35 about one hour outside of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma driving in the right lane about 75 MPH when an elderly lady who looked like she had come stright from the Burger King commericial of 'Where's the Beef?' pulled up beside me furiously honking her horn. She was driving an old Dodge Aires. I wasn't in her lane and I couldn't fiqure out what she was honking at. She didn't stop honking the horn and when we were side by side, she raised up her right arm and hand slowly and then extended her middle finger straight at me. Talk about surprised! What in the world? She then sped up and zoomed past me. I was doing 75 MPH and she then zoomed past me! I saw a little OU decal on her rear windshield. It was then I remembered what had probably triggered this. My Kansas license plate says LSU FAN.

A little old lady who could barely see over the steering wheel of her car had just shot me the bird.

Well, honestly, there was a huge collision of football populations in 03. LSU fans are loud, obnoxious, drunk, and partiers. The OU fans are the exact opposite. They are quiet, reserved and believe in their history.

They took our behavior as rudeness. We took their behavior as smugness.

I have no problems with most of their fans. However, they do not do football like we do. The atmospheres for games are completely different. There's no one right way, but i will tell you this, it's completely different from our gameday experience.

With that said, I felt as though TAMU fans were very similar to OU fans. They came across as smug and didn't show up to party. Just a clash of fan personalities.

They can also jump your battery, feed your belly, watch your back, and direct you the safest way out of the dome if not lead you out.

9 times out of ten, our game experience is what we make it. imo
