Someone remind me what happened with Damien James back in 2002

I remember him being a huge get in recruiting and having a solid career. Reading his bio it shows that he got the boot in the middle of his Senior season. Was it simply a discipline issue or did he just lose his love for the game? I don't see anything about him having a post-LSU football career.

Only thing I remember from that time was Larry Foster using that speed to steal a purse in the quad

He skipped out on a drug test mid season . Saban talked about it in a press conference .

He developed the “Jimmy Arm”. He would randomly and uncontrollably throw his elbow out to the side.

If I remember correctly, he had failed a couple of drug tests and when he got selected to take another one that he knew he was going to fail and that was going to be his final strike, he just left and never came back.
