Used to be one permanent and you rotated two opponents on a staggered home and home.

Now we have one permanent and one rotates but is it not a home and home deal? Why aren't we playing SC next year?

If you played one East team two years in a row it'd be over a decade before you played them again.

I get that. So now the rotating ream rotates every year? What is the home/visitor rotation? It looks like we're playing Tenn away next year but that would have been two away games in a row.

The regular rotation started last year after the "bridge" schedules. We'll go either 5 or 7 years between playing a particular East team, it can't be 6 because the home/away wouldn't match.

2014: Kentucky
2015: "at" South Carolina
2016: Missouri
2017: at Tennessee
2018: Georgia
2019: at Vanderbilt
2020: South Carolina
2021: at Kentucky
2022: Tennessee
2023: at Missouri
2024: Vanderbilt
2025: at Georgia

Alabama chooses their schedule and everyone else does what they're told.

The SEC HQ calls it "tradition" when it benefits the Gumps or the state of Alabama but calls it "progress" when they screw over anybody else.

It won't change until the office is relocated.

bullshite, it will change when conference members other than Bama, Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn finally grow some balls and quits bending over and taking up the arse from the conference and them 4 schools.

2025 is going to be brutal.

Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State on the road.

Florida, Auburn, A&M, Arkansas at home.

For one we'll probably go to a 9 game schedule by then and do this all over again. 2 there's a great chance some or all of those schools won't even be good that year. I mean my god Alabama could be in a down period by then it's so far off.

Yes it is those four schools with their sacred games, but who will step up to change it. Bears love playing Vandy every year as do the Grinders playing UK. You cannot blame UK and Vandy because most of the time another west opponent will be better. That leaves LSU and UF plus the four newbs. Nothing will change until the sEC goes to a 9 game conference schedule or two other teams are added.

bullshite.
I hate alabama as much as you do, but did Alabama choose when 4 or 5 sec teams had a week off before playing them?

Forgot what year it was, but please.....this year there are three teams that have a week off before them.

Saban and alabama whined like hell about that and it hasn't happened since.

LSU has gone quite a few years now with having a bye week before the bama game. Since I'm not a bama fan, I personally don't give a hoot about what kind of disadvantages bama has to deal with during a football season.

NO bullshite...bama/SEC office had that changed with a quickness ! Did you not know that or conveniently forget ?
HOW do you explain the inexplicable "ease" of bamas' bridge schedules ??
HOW do you explain a bama booster club leader acting as replay review official FOR A BAMA HOME GAME ????
Shall I go on with more specific examples of bama favoritism ??

Yeah it has nothing to do with the fact that most of these teams have played each other every year since the early 1900's or the fact that we have played FL every year except for 3 years since the 1950's.

Like it or not FL became a permanent rival long before the conference expanded in 1992 and long before our coach and AD used the media to turn our fan base into a bunch of inflamed pussies.

You didn't hear TN bitching in the 90's when UF was raping us on an annual basis. Nor do you hear them botching now that they are on the receiving ended of the annual raping. Nobody complained prior to 1992 when we may have played teams like Auburn, GA, or TN once every 10-12 years nor did they complain about rotating some of these same teams once every eight years when the conference made it expansion in 1992.
