Actually, I think the decade ends in about a year - when 2020 is done.

When considering if this LSU team is one of the top 5 teams of all time, if not the absolute best, I ask myself this...what team(s) would be able to beat this LSU team if they played their best game? Very very few would be able to compete with them, much less be able to beat them. This LSU team can score so many ways and with the defense playing up to our standard like they have been since the Texas am game, it's really tough to figure how they could be beaten.
I don't even get stressed with this team bc I have such superior confidence in their ability to score and make the plays they need to in order to win the game. Even against teams like bama, auburn, and Florida when the games were close, I never had a doubt that we would win the game and stayed relaxed and stress free. Seriously, this LSU team is truly special and it will take them beating themselves in order for them to lose. What a damn team and what a season so far. We are just one more win away from being crowned national frickin champions in NOLA baby! Let's finish this awesome journey off the right way and bring that natty trophy home to BR where it belongs!
I have a great feeling that this team still hasn't played their best game yet this season, as scary as that may seem, lol. I just know that they're saving their best game for last and are extremely focused on winning the championship. Geaux Fightin' Tigers!!!

questions to end the first decade of the 21st Century
Wait, is 2009 about to end?
No way Les goes back to Michigan.

A pregnant question is one which is about to give birth to outstanding answers. As to the “end of the first decade” I heard January 1 so described on CNN, so assumed it was true, as would too many Americans. Actually, as to that error, I hope that you too, gentle readers, live long enough to learn that the mind is the second thing to go.

3) Is this LSU team the overall college football single season GOAT?
Yes, yes and "we'll see"

In future posts, try to avoid using words you don't understand, like "pregnant" and "decade".

One more win gets us in the conversation with best teams of all time. I haven't seen a better offensive team in 50 years.

A Bama team that didn’t even win the SEC West isn’t close to any GOAT conversation.

Sorry but I think that the measure of the greatest team shouldn’t be how dominant you were against your lesser opponents but about the number of good opponents you beat. Forget 2017 Alabama. They lost a game by by double digits where they were a touchdown favorite. 2001 Miami didn’t have to win a 12th regular season game, an 8th conference game, a conference championship game or a playoff game to get to the NC game. They only beat ONE top 10 team and that was in the NC game against a 1-loss Nebraska. 1995 Nebraska also didn’t have to win a 12th regular season game, 8th conference game, conference championship game or playoff game. They had 39 days to get ready for their highest ranked opponent (Florida). They did beat FOUR top 10 teams but only ONE top 5 team. If LSU goes 15-0, beats #3, #4, #5, #9, #12, #13 in in the playoff rankings, have the Heisman Trophy winner, the Biletnikoff Award winner, Thorpe Award winner, how do you not call this the greatest college football team ever?
