GrandDad, without Etling's ability to make something out of nothing, we would have lost that game last night.
The receivers still aren't consistently getting separation.
Etling is using his field vision and mobility to ad lib and keep the play alive until someone breaks open.
Then Miles claims he new all along that Etling was the man.
You know that Miles was under extreme pressure by fans and probably the administration to try something different, or we would still be watching a bigger s show.

If you really think Etling was only slightly only better than Harris last night, I wanna see what you consider a good QB. Etling played a damn good game last night. Damn good.

Did you watch the game where we were backed up inside our 5, 10, 15 time after time and had decent drives getting the ball out of there that ended with fumbles or craziness? That had way more to do with a crappy appearing second half than anything else.

If Fournette doesn't fumble twice (or if the second one was properly reviewed as a first down), we win that game 37-6.
Untimely turnovers, a magical horseshoe onsides kick and some help from Ritter in the booth made the game much closer than it was.
We dominated. Even in the second half we moved the ball well, Fournette just fumbled twice and Birmingham was determined to give Moo State possession on the second one.

You don't find any blame with the coaches on how we defended the onside kick? We didn't even look like we knew it was coming
They knew it was coming, that was a damn good kick with a high bounce right in the middle of the first line and back end

lets wait and see how things evolve the next several games. We then will have a better picture

Just fricking be happy about something. It's football. Your team obviously has improved. Just fricking enjoy it

Slightly better QB play? Please tell me you don't have to analyze much in your career. The QB play was massively better.

Yes, players, not coaches, fumbled, committed critical penalties and failed to cover an onside kick everyone in Louisiana knew was coming. No coaching blame to be assessed there. [rolleyes]

My son-in-law said it perfectly...LSU is a work in progress. It's going to be that way all year so we either deal with or not watch.
18 returning starters is not a work in progress- it's a championship run. This program won't sniff a championship. Miles has an underachieving culture firmly set in place and it won't change while he's here.

I saw a game where the best RB living fumbled twice or we win by 30. LF probably want fumble twice the rest of the year. Great game for the Tigers. Reminded me of the 2014 MSU game in reverse.

So many arguments about who to blame for the final score the one I haven't seen is the fact that the refs jobbed us on the replay of the second fournette fumble. He made the first down and the call on the field was first down. They reviewed the play for over 5 minutes how in the hell can you say it was indisputable that he didn't make the first down? That call is the only reason this game was close.

Because you are a pessimistic, whiny, little bitch. There is no cure for that.
Go watch another team.
Go watch another team.

There was nothing wrong with the defense of the on-sides kick. It took a freakishly high bounce giving Moo U the opportunity to convert. That's football
