And what recruits are going to want to come to LSU if they know they will have to pay?

It seems like to me it's almost always those with a "family" to take care of, aka baby. The QB for Oregon is coming back for his senior year and it was said that he would have been the first QB taken in the draft.

One solution for if they sit out the bowl game is to require them (we can pay travel) to visit some of these high schools where we are pushing for recruits - especially if it is their alma mater. Nothing excites these kids more than a photo op for their social media. How psyched would you be if you were a highly rated cornerback and Greedy Williams showed up at your school for the playoff game pep rally or football banquet? And he made it a point to shake your hand and talk to you about football?

Neil Ferrell broke his leg preparing for the bowl game. What if he was draft eligible?

Fans can cash in and resale tickets and bail on the team, coaches and leave and cash in on bigger jobs but damn the players for cashing out huh. Stfu

Rick I don’t understand the fear and pre-excuses coming from the Cheerios over upperclassmen sitting out. That crew loves to say 0 was left with nothing and the Miles players who remain are the cause of all our problems. That once 0s recruits start playing we will be a championship level program. So why when Miles’ guys sit out and 0s players get to play are they now saying it’s a disadvantage? They also were using motivation as one of their excuses but now not only do we have the great 0 recruits playing but they’re also highly motivated because this is a big step for them in lobbying for a starting position next season. Personally I think this is a perfect matchup for us and we’ll blow this team out, I just don’t get all the pre emptive excuses. They seem to butt up against everything the ppl making them have told us

I agree 100% since the university doesn't make any money from the use of their likeness or sale of merchandise. Because the university gains absolutely nothing and is actually losing money because of said scholarship.

quote:

Make them pay back the year’s tuition they decided to sit out of the game. The agreement is that they play ball for said university in exchange for tuition, books, fees, clothing, food etc. most first rounders get huge signing bonuses so it would be a drop in the bucket for them to pay back the university who helped get them to financial stability. Just my opinion, but would be the easiest fix to the situation.

Remember the shite storm that erupted when LSU asserted is buyout against Chavis. Magnify this by 100 if they try to take action against one of their players. The sympathy will not lie with the university with liberal media coverage and the negative attention it brings. Best o let everyone just move on.

Pay it back ? So if Greedy blows the hell of his knee, LSU should pay him the $23 million guarantee he would have received. You want reciprocity you got it.
