I respect Howard Dobson and I still think he is a very good coach. I do remember being warned when he was hired that his teams had tendencies to have bad pitch selection and a little inconsistent offensively.
After what I have seen this season, I really am starting to question our hitting instructions and philosophy. Not to say that this could be just an off season which I know happens. Just watching this team at the plate this season has been somewhat painful and a lot of other teams are seeing what I am seeing.
Our pitch selection is not good at all this season. I like being aggressive but we have gotten way out of hand at times this season with it. Our swings are very weak. Some of the commentators this season have even mentioned our poor mechanics at the plate. It seems like a lot of times we look completely lost at the plate. Even against inferior talent.
I mean I am not trying to rip our coaches or players down, I am just stating what I am seeing and hearing.
I am the biggest Torina fan and I know I will get down votes but our offensive philosophy needs to definitely be re evaluated.

I totally agree with u!!he needs to make some major adjustments during off season.u got 8 starters back and we aren't even competing for a championship!

what an understatement
I'd rank the units:
1) Peveto's special teams
2) LSU men's basketball's defense
3)LSU's softball hitting
women's basketball is so bad to the point they don't count

Compared to last season, due to our poor offensive showings. It is much more difficult playing from behind. We being to swing at unnecessary pitches and take way more chances.

They definitely seem to press whenever they know they are doing poorly at the plate, and that only makes it worse.
Nice hit by Thornhill there.

I lost my confidence in HD when he let the best hitter in the state leave us for UA Because he didn't think he liked her batting swing.

You stupid frick thats not why she went to UA.
First of all, she wanted to leave the state. She loves LSU and UL and loves the coaching staffs for both.
