very high, throw to 2nd gets away,
Called over tunred Stewart safe at home, LSU leads 2-0!

In HS she would have been pretty much given 3B every time, but giving home is a coin flip here.
I'm thinking the college rule is the same here.

If the umpires feel that she would have made it, they can award the 2nd base.
But the coach has to feel that would be the call in order to send her. If you don't send her then the 2nd base isn't going to be awarded. The problem is that the umpire is just going to hold out a fist and doesn't indicate how many bases will be awarded until the play is over.

Just on replay though, even though the ball got there before the runner, I don't think the tag was placed in time.

Is Cummings so good defensively that we leave her bat in the lineup? She is pretty much an automatic out. Seems like we could pinch hit for her at least once a game.
