kinda funny .. 11 replies in a softball rally thread ... i don't follow women's sports ... i don't really like hoops played below the rim or the game of baseball played underhanded on a miniature field ... but i let myself get into it on occasion ... everytime, we seem to fricking choke .. we had tennesse beat in the final four two seasons ago and literally choked .. and yesterday, you had a chick that you were getting good swings at in game one come back and shut you out in game two on 2 hits .. that is a royal choke job .. you win one out of two games and you come back to tiger park to play north dakota state for a CWS birth ????????? holy shite .. how much more motivation do you need ?? thanks to title IX we have to spend a shite ton of money on women's sports .. this is a huge reason why we have to pay the outrageous TAF fees that we do on our season football and baseball tickets ... because cash cows have to fund women's sports that make NO money, they lose money and you have to pay the van chancellors and yvette guirards comparable salaries to trent johnson and paul mainieri ... and what do we get for it ?? choke jobs ...

I guess you're right. It's always easy to go into the defending national champion's ballpark and take it from them. So no credit goes to Arizona State? I guess UC-Irvine choked at the Box last year too and no credit goes to LSU.

Totally agree with you here. But at the same time LSU woman sports could be damn good. Since LSU has to pay comparable salaries, why not go get the best womans basketball and softball coach. Yvette has choked every year. Pokey choked, what 4 years in a row. Neither of them are the best coach or even "one" of the best coaches in their position. Skip and LSU went the cheap route and hired inexpensive coaches. Time for Yvette to go for sure, and I'll give Chancellor 2 more years.

i totally agree with you .. there needs to be levels of expectations associated with these high salaries ... i think yvette's had enough time .. she's not going to do anymore for us than she did for ULL, that's pretty obvious now ... if she's that good, somehow, some way, we pull off one game yesterday knowing all we have to do is come home and beat north dakota state twice to get to the CWS ... chancellor won with pokey and starkey's players in 2007-2008 .. that was obvious ... you are right, give him this season and next, but if the program is clearly going backwards, you have to make a move ... this is a LOT of fricking money these coaches are getting with next to nothing in revenue coming back ..
