Texas and Oklahoma were powerhouses in the big 12, but in the SEC they are very beatable. Haven't they lost at least 3 games?

And, LSU doesn't play Oklahoma this year unless it is in the SEC tournament.

We still need to win at least one game at Texas and at Texas A @ M. Can't get swept.

They don’t play Oklahoma and they will beat Texas at least 1 game and maybe 2

She just needs to throw strikes. She will be OK. A lot of travel team coaches claimed she wasn't as good as advertised, so I wasn't expecting her to dominate, but she's actually better than I thought.

She can dominate if she throws strikes, if Berzon would came in relief LSU would have won. What good is an ace if she can’t throw more than 8 innings in a weekend?

I still don't get Vallejo starting today. What are they saving Berzon for? Next weekend? I think that 7th inning yesterday spooked Beth.

Maybe she was sick, but that decision and sending the runner with no outs is stupid.

And, you don't bring in a pitcher that walks a lot in relief unless you have a big lead.

Time may prove me wrong but I think Heavener will be special. Gotta work on that control. Right now her stat lines are on par with Nuke Laloosh.
As far as Beth sending runner, not starting Berzon…..we got what we got with Beth. I’m afraid she’ll be around as long as she wants to be. I just hope the new hitting coach doesn’t jump ship. That is the major improvement this team has this season. And by nothing Beth did as far as getting rid of Leftwich or Dobson, they left on their own, she fell into the new hitting coach. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then.

This team is so Jekyll and Hyde that it's crazy. When they're on, they can beat anybody, but when they're off, they make so many mind numbing mistakes. I don't see them taking the series against Texas. It will be business as usual over the final few weeks of the regular reason. They will end up finishing around 4th or 5th in the conference.

I'll take it. That would undoubtedly mean a top-8 seed.

They are about to play RPI 1,3,5, and 8 the next 4 weeks with 3 of the 4 series on the road. If they go 5-7 and win the 2 midweeks, that leaves them 41-12 overall and 13-11 in the league and will probably have a top-5 RPI. That would be enough.

I think even 4-8 the next 4 weekends with maybe a win or 2 in the SEC tournament gives them a chance at top 8. Last year, we were 40-15 after the SEC Tournament and were 12-12 in the league and still almost got a top 8.

I think this year's resume' will end up being better. The win over UCLA and the 2 wins over Virginia Tech look very good right now.

I think Berzon might be nicked. They showed a shot of her in the dugout and she was wearing some sort of black brace on her shoulder.

I honestly think Beth didn't want to pitch her 3 days in a row and knows she will need Berzon a ton the next 4 weekends. Beth is probably playing the long game...but it sure would have been nice to sweep Bama

Anyone can coach after they know the results. If you think she pitched bad then you need to be Pete Rosed. When your defense makes errors your not gonna have great results

100% Vallejo was good today, the defense behind her let her down

It's actually nice to see Coach Torina giving some of the other arms some meaningful game reps, and Vallejo did a great job. Berzon is nicked up though--was confirmed by a couple of people I know close to the program. She pitched nicked up in the last couple of outings. Wouldn't want to see a repeat of the Pleasant approach from last year (playing THROUGH injuries, instead of healing properly). Good to see Vallejo this weekend because there is very little chance we will see her the next two weekends. Be good to see them take same approach with position players sometimes though: We never know when an unexpected injury calls them into action--like last year. Maybe in the mid-week.

We lost the last one but this was still an SEC Series win and you gotta be happy with any of those. Thought it would be a sweep but 2 of 3 is fine. The next 4 series will honestly impact this season more than anything that has happened thus far though (@Texas A&M, @Texas, Florida and @Arkansas).
