I remember the 2008 baseball season, people were getting sick of mainieri as his team wasn't doing well. Weekend series against Georgia came around and lsu woke up. Springboarded us through a fun 2nd half of 2008 and NC in 2009. Hope this can do that for softball.

I think we were going through a little slump at the plate, then playing Florida certainly didn't help. I think this will be a huge confidence booster going forward. Winning the first game is huge.
Like another post said, this teams looks a little tight this year compared to last. When they are loose and having fun then it shows.
