3 teams in out of conference.. look at the rest of the schedule. Definitely impressive in those three series. Compare it to the conference schedule LSU has playing in the SEC which had all schools with high enough RPI to make it to regionals. How many Sun Belt teams in regionals?

May want to check loser.... they were not "16" when the hosting sites were announced. Wishful thinking I guess.

Umm yes they were.
Why do you think ppl are saying that they should have hosted?

Haha.. and we thought Alabama fans were delusional! ULL was not in the top 16 of RPI when the hosting sites were announced.

And probably the reason why is that you played what 4 games vs teams ranked in the top 25 in the rpi? Whereas LSU played over 30?

and you wonder why we are hosting and you are not?

Exactly. If you are good enough others will determine what you should be called. But some like to spend the past 18 years trying to force the name they want to be recognized as instead of earning the name. Even in the military, you don't choose your callsign (nickname), it's what you are given by those that respect you and feel reflects you best.

I am very open minded but if there is one consistency with Dobson's offenses is we are fairly predictable on how to pitch us.

has he hit his ceiling? Not sure, maybe, maybe not

he has never altered anyone swing coming to LSU. UL doesn't have the best athletes out there but they maximize and develop a potent offense with good coaching. I think our coaching on the offensive end has held us back at times on multiple occasions. I understand you can't just completely make major adjustments right at post season but its a bit alarming that we continue to see the same BS at times. Just stance in the box and positioning seems to be ignored. My best friend is a UL graduate and he attends LSU softball stuff all the time with me and even he mentions that it looks like every player just does their own stuff. I am extremely concerned personally with the state of the offense of this program. We were shut down completely at times even last year with a bed of talent. I am not saying start firing people but there needs to be a serious evaluation of the reality of this situation. We have too good of athletes not to succeed

As per the LSU Softball twitter feed, Game 5 will not be played tonight. LSU will play winner of game 4 tomorrow, time TBD.

By your logic, why isn't Minnesota hosting ?

I'll hang up and listen

And here's the reasoning behind Minnesota not hosting... how can anyone argue this?

When the committee compared Minnesota against other teams being considered for the top 16 seeds, Minnesota did not have as many regular-season Top 10 and Top 25 wins as compared to other teams. The teams that were selected as the 16 seeds had at least one or more Top 10 wins and between four to 18 Top 25 wins. Minnesota did not have any Top 10 wins and only two Top 25 wins.

Furthermore, Minnesota’s strength of schedule was 114. The top seeded teams had strength of schedules ranging from 1 to 36.

Nuff said.... ready for another round jenny?

The official name is Louisiana @ Lafayette. Athletically we are Louisiana. ULM chose it's branding. How hard is this to comprehend?

And have won 4 of 5 from those teams. Maybe just maybe Sec rankings and rpi is so high bc that is how they started the year and when they beat each other up it's just bc all of them are good. News flash, majority or them weren't as good as advertised.

Somebody gets it. Very disappointed in Beth. She and her staff took a step backwards this year. This is one game that they let get away. And those of us who live in Lafayette have to live with this.

Yep. Love when people give that hot take that "preseason rankings don't matter."

This is certainly not a reflection of the entire LSU fan base sentiment and as an LSU fan, I don't appreciate that type of comment about Mike Lotief. Out of bounds and totally uncalled for. Much respect for his perseverance through his extensive fight against cancer.
