Needed that.... bad. Now no nonsense vs. Buffalo, please.
Posted on 2/27/21 at 7:10 pm to Tigerbait357
Last night sucked. But if we beat Buffalo that would be a 5-2 week. I'll take that.

Get Wickersham righted in this game and at least one facet will be on track

Kilponen really stepping up and looking like she will be one of our top pitchers this year
We just got to get some kids out of some hitting funks and figure out RF
LSU will have another golden opportunity facing Texas next weekend

Bump. This can’t go to page two yet. In Lafayette their softball team is better than the ‘27 Yankees. We may very well run into them again in the post season.

quote:Anyone who lives in Lafayette and has to listen to their propaganda all the time will attest to the above statement. To listen to them it's a miracle that they ever lose a game. In reality ULL softball has been doing the same thing for 30 years. They beat up on defenseless Sun Belt or state schools and they lose in postseason to somebody with a pulse.

UL fan here, and yea im sorry to say i agree. Its the same BS every single year. Being in the sunbelt is doing way more damage than it should. We need to be playing the likes of LSU and Florida way more often. Our conference in softball is an embarrassment. Non conference is the only chance we ever get to prove ourselves. Good luck to the tigers and Cajuns

Btw, that Central Arkansas team that the Lady Tigers swept a couple of weeks ago in what appeared to be unconvincing fashion, 3-0 and 2-0, went on to win nine straight games outscoring their opponents 70-3.

LSU easily had the most difficult OOC schedule out there of any team this year. Hopefully it pays off in SEC play

Except unlike the Lotief years, Glasco is trying to schedule pretty much any powerhouse program he can for OOC. This year’s schedule is no different.
But at the end of the day, yeah, a Sunbelt team supported by a $30 Million athletic budget is going to struggle to consistently beat SEC and Big12 softball teams supported with $100 Million plus athletic budgets.

I’d say more of what you’re seeing from most Cajun fans isn’t thinking our program is the best in the country every year, but more that we’re damn proud of them being ranked and competing with programs that have WAY more in resources. Every time they go against a hugely funded SEC, Big 12 or Pac12 school, they are the underdog.

Truth! And we usually give them all a game and make'em fight. Always proud of the Lady Cajuns no matter what.

When you make claim to be The University of Louisiana, you can’t pretend to be the little ol’ school from Lafayette when you lose to the real big dogs.

Can't argue this at all. Very valid point.
I'm not a ULL fan, and probably wont ever be, but I have a hell of a lot more respect for your program now that Lotief is gone. Glasco seems like a genuine good guy who is trying to run his program in a classy way.
Lotief, meanwhile, is an absolute piece of shite.

The Lafayette Junior College of Southwest Louisiana bunch have no more a right to be called "UL" than do their counterparts at Monroe Junior College of Northest Louisana.
Neither are anything more than Junior Colleges, which by the way, the State of Louisiana should have a full System of. (Way too many 4 year Colleges)
All of the Colleges in the State should be converted to JC's except for LSU, Tulane, La. Tech, Southern and Grambling.

quote:I don't disagree with you on the budget differences between LSU and UL but LSU and other Power 5 programs don't put any more money into softball than UL does. They may have a bigger budget and more money to spend but they spend it on other sports.

not seeing how that makes any sense? University of Ohio is not the big power school in that state.. I wouldn't call University of California the power school in that state either, so failing to see what a name has to do with it. Yall are LSU. Everyone knows your name. Be happy with that.
