And had a better AB against her than Schlattman did.

Cheap contact. Schlatmann was hitting today. They put
Antoine out there instead of Cummins. Cummins wAs catching.

Are we guaranteed to host a regional? Despite the late season collapse, our RPI should be good enough. I assume we will have to hit the road for supers if we make it that far.

Sad, losing these two games with home field advantage ,with such a good crowd behind them.
Only positive today was Wickersham’s performance.
Andrews,Sunseri,A.Sanchez,Doyle batting performances were poor.
Torina let Gorsuch pitch two batters too long.

We’re #7 with a killer RPi? No way LSU drops that far. LSU should still be in the National seed discussion if they win tomorrow and have a nice SECT

LSU is hosting a regional, maybe not a super due to the late season collapse and we haven't been playing well the last 3 weeks. If they want a shot to host a super, they can't lose tomorrow and probably need to win a game or two in the SECT.

Committee is looking at RPI, Quality wins, and your performances at the end of the year. In the last three weeks we have dropped 2 series (Alabama isn't a bad loss) but then we lost to Baylor as well. The committee will definitely take big notice at that.

Torina needs to stop letting Gorsuch loading the bases and/or walking people in.

I know she thinks they can work out these jams but she waits way too long with Gorsuch IMO. Especially with how her control has been lately. I thought they were a batter or two too late.

In 1.1 innings she allowed 3 hits and 5 walks

Ok. So we still have a shot, but we’ve got to break out of this funk. Just 2 weeks ago we were poised to win the regular season championship. Getting swept by the Bama fatties and bowing out early in the SEC tournament will kill us.

They need to win tomorrow and win a game or two in the SECT, they need to show the committee some quality softball over the next few games. RPI wise we shouldn't really fall but they have some ground to make up from the eye test at the end of the year.

With walks and weak hitting team, sad but a sweep seems to be coming. Screw the gumps

I will probably get downvoted for this, but Torina made this series too big of a deal. Not letting the girls say roll or wear red all week. Just treat Alabama like any other series instead of letting it get too big. Bama was in their heads

I like Beth, and I think she’s a very good coach, but we seem to always be missing something we need to be a complete team. For a while we had all-American pitching but couldn’t hit. Now, at least up until the Arkansas series, we were hitting the ball much better but have struggled while our young pitching staff finds their footing.

Agree I like her but it seems she can only get you so far. Sort of like the Andy Reid of college softball.

Every year, like clockwork, we seem to hit a slump. On more than one occasion, we have started a season on a tear, only to limp to the finish line. I'm not sure what it is. While we have been more productive at the plate this season, our offense is still wildly inconsistent, with bats going ice cold for long periods of time, or batters losing focus and chasing bad pitches. Do we need to take a long look at Dobson? I honestly don't know what the answer is.

No doubt the offense is much better this year but you hit the head on the nail here.

This isn’t something exactly new. Every year they go through major cold spells at the plate. Even when we had Bell, Jaquish and those guys, they went through a lot of cold spells. I don’t understand it to be honest. It’s not like one or two kids, it’s most the lineup.

Sunseri has really improved to end the year and it seems Wickersham got back on track yesterday. They will need to swing the bats today and moving forward.

357, you think the new facility will attract good players in the coming years. I have seen your post on the recruits committed for the next few years but pitchers that can be found that throw heat and have good stuff is what is needed. Looking at Bama's team, their two top pitchers are back next year and both hit 70mph. Fouts is just a freshman. We have seen that type of power pitcher from many other sec teams.
