Gorsuch was a HS all American among the select other few of pitchers but hasn't panned out like we have wanted to unfortunately.
Sunseri was always a highly touted kid, probably more known for her bat than in the circle but she has developed nicely this year.
Wickersham and Kilponen were HS all Americans and highly recruited as well. Issue is its extremely difficult to be an ace as a frosh. Hoover and Walljasper are not the norms.
Now if you want to talk development and pitch calling, thats another discussion. LSU recruits talented and highly recruited pitchers.

Watch the last pitch of the Fla-Miss State game the last strike called. Definitely thought that was high. Ended the game. Just seems the softball umpires are not very good.

If Wickersham can keep them off balance with that change she could be effective. Doing a good job so far.

I honestly think Kilponen clearly has one of the highest upsides of the staff but she has to adjust to her new mechanics and get her control down.
Her control is the only issue with her right now.

It would not be surprise me either. There is potential there for a couple of the pitchers especially her. Just wish Beth would have had someone groomed to takeover from the 2 all Americans.
