I agree, just needs experience. Poor girl was out for literally most the season but I like her a lot and her abilities on the mound.

It's difficult for our players to hit a legal pitcher. Not surprised they didn't score against an illegal pitcher.

Somehow I hope we can steal game 2 tomorrow with Ocasio pitching. Yes I know it's not an easy task.

Unfortunately there is a good chance the girls may not score any runs this weekend.

I do have a question about the defensive alignment. Why was the defense so far back with a runner on 3rd on multiple occasions?
Defenses wasn't much of a help but none of it matters when you don't score one run and strikeout 15 times
I was excited to see Sunseri settle in and strike out back to back batters on some really nasty pitches. Excited about what is in store for her on the mound, of course you only get better through experience. I am not sure there was any positives today besides Sunseri on the mound in the 6th
I hope we can have better at bats tomorrow and find ways to score runs.

South Carolina, who is a good hitting team, had exactly 4 hits in 3 games in Gainesville a few weeks ago. So yes, we may well not score.

Lsu was swinging the bat mosty rather than watching all the strikes go by. Swung at some really bad pitches, too. Doyle's at bat toward the end was bad.
When Fliorida pitches Ocasio, LSU willl have its best chance. Lets hope our defense has a better outing for game 2.

This is why I have stayed out of the conversation for the past few weeks. Everyone has their minds made up on what needs to be done and I don't agree so it's better if I just read. Have a lot of work keeping all of the Texas HS playoff scores and brackets updated and getting my team ready as well. These threads are good for me so I can follow along when I get home much quicker than watching the game again, even though I cringe at some of the commentary.
Let's go get a win today!

Maribeth is getting really good and il think she and Sunseri will do well next year.
Still, as far as the pitch calling, I wouldnt keep bringing her to full count situations as often as we are seeing Beth do it.
