My argument is the mother fricking Barnhill is illegal on every mother fricking pitch in regular speed and she gets away with it.

THIS IS EXACTLY RIGHT. I took the video and sent it to LSU and the SEC offices. No reply.

1 inning where we fell apart and gave up 4 runs.

In the 4th inning LSU had Minnesota at 2 outs and only one base runner. Then we let the inning spiral out of control.

Difference in the game along with not driving in runners while on base. I think the stat was we were 1-13 with runners on base. We left a lot of base runners as well.

Minnesota is not unbeatable but we are in a bit of a hole now. Wickersham will need to be great tomorrow and the offense needs to try to score runs and hit more with runners in scoring position.

I don’t care what their record is or anything, I feel embarrassed to have lost to that team. I hope the players feel that way too. LSU is a much better team and need to prove it with two convincing wins in a row. Our pitchers are far from dominant though, can’t let these teams have extra chances with walks.

Again, either enforce the fricking rule or throw it away.

Regardless of what happens the rest of the weekend. LSU needs to make changes this offseason and cut down on the free passes.

You can't hand out base runners like Candy. The pitchers also need to take care of batters themselves.

We lost today by 2 runs. Sunseri can not give up 4 runs after her offense just gave her two runs. What made it worst was the fact that we had two outs. That can’t happen. I think the offense was decent. We need to get hits with runners on base. If we can’t hit them in, we need to manufacture runs. It’s a must. I’m happy that Thornhill had a good game hopefully she can get back hot. Stewart needs to be at the top of the lineup. Sanchez, Sanchez, and Sunseri needs to produce. It’s ok them. Serrett, Doyle, Thornhill hit well. The one good thing we can take away is that we forced Fiser to throw 145 pitches. We’ve seen her well now. We need to hit. Serrett showed that all you have to do is make solid contact. Fiser literally provides all the power.

I’ve been saying that for LSU to get to the WCWS, Sunseri needs to become a superstar. She did not today, but luckily we gotta game tomorrow.

But Fun Fact: The last two times we’ve been to the WCWS, we lost the first game (in 2017 and 2016).

The last 3 years in super regionals, the winner of game one ended up getting knocked out

The series is far from over but we have to be much better in the circle and we have to do a better job scoring runners when we get them on. Give the ball to Wickersham tomorrow but she needs to hit her spots and not hand out free passes.

Sunseri had a bad day, at the plate and in the circle. She IMO is the glue for us and we need her to be at her best for LSU to advance.

We had our chances today. I hate losing like that. Why do we fall apart when other teams find ways to get it done?

Honestly she seems like a far better lead off as of late than Andrews, who has been completely shut down to end the year with all those shifts on the left side of the infield.

You guys were 100% right about Barnhill. She's hopping on every single pitch.

Pitching should be experienced next year if no one leaves. 357, is Kilponen being red shirted or did she play too many innings? I am hoping that Beth can make her a dominant pitcher.

I wasn't really watching their pitcher, but people were asking me why wasn't the Minnesota pitcher not called for stepping back off of the rubber? I'll have to go back and watch.

Just watched but can't tell but the barking was coming from LSU parents on Facebook... they were sitting behind our dugout and had a good angle..

Kilponen has played quite a bit and at like 50 innings in 15 games. She is not getting redshirted, she wouldn't qualify for one.

Best hope she makes a jump this offseason. I think LSU would be much better next year in the circle if she can get her control down. Hardest thrower on the staff and she has some wicked stuff that is almost unhittable. I think she easily has one of the highest upsides of everyone on staff.

Ole Miss pitcher

Just looked at some highlights online of other games. Ole Miss pitcher is illegal also, though her hop is much smaller than MB's in that shot. She has a very big hop as well at other times. I remember watching her get hammered at the end of the year.

Funny story...

Awhile back I went over to Scrap Yards to watch a couple of LSU alums play in the pro league. I sat down in the bullpen and between innings I was talking to the 1B umpire who called B12 and SEC plus Houston HS games. He called Monica Abbott for ONE illegal pitch...

So I asked why he didn't keep calling them and he said that the Scrap Yards team owner said he was allowed to call only one, and if he called more, he wouldn't be asked to come back. I said that the money wasn't that good...

Andrews has become kinda a 1 trick pony. If she can't develop any people will continue to play her tight knowing she can't pop it over the infield

Have to agree with you on Andrews

She has been completely neutralized this back part of the season. Teams have shifted over on the left side and she can't muscle the ball out the infield. That is a major problem and it becomes easy to defend.

Stewart at least is versatile and can hit the ball into the gaps and hit to the middle/right side. Andrews is strictly tap the ball to the left side of the infield. Stewart at least has pop so people play her honest now so she can get away with a lot of things, much like Landry.
