With a 75 yard rushing TD. But that doesn't count right, because it's a fluke?

I couldn't find fumble stats. I was wondering about that.

Neither could he. Someone made them up months ago (and I'm guessing they are probably [if at all] just fumbles, not fumbles lost).

So I was one off? Wow, yeah. What a difference
you were 7 off. 8 fumbles by jj and LSU recovered 6 so he had 12 turnovers last year not 19.

Glad someone finally called him on that BS stat.

TheDoc has a want to remain in the dark about the skills that Jefferson brings to the table.

It's because he used to support JJ and defend him religiously on here and then the first 6-7 games last year happened and he reacted in turn with the board.

He's also generally a more reactive poster.

Arm Strength and Speed will at least get him drafted and if he ends up having a good season it will show that he can be coached.

I don't believe either QB has any shot at the next level, but if one were to, it'd be JJ, and only because of his physical tools.

And BTW, I've always been a fan of having a mobile QB, but never really warmed on the idea of a 2 QB system.

Until now.

Yeah, my good buddy up here always says, "No one has ever won it all with a 2QB system."

But my take is, "no one has ever done anything until someone has done it."

so they lost Bobby Petrino, a guy known for developing QBs, replaced him with Al Borges his senior year, and then miraculously got better because of coaching? c'mon man, really?

Do you know anything about Al Borges?

I dunno. Why don't you ask him at T.J. Ribs next week?

Before the Alabama game I thought JL might of had a chance. I like to think that was his audition and blew it. Both have been too inconsistent in their years here and our dependence on the run and play action doesn't really put a real big burden on the QB.

Lee's soft tossing, turnover issues and poor footwork don't jive with the NFL.

Nor do JJ's lack of pocket presence and propensity to hold on to the ball far too long.

I'd be wholly shocked if either even get FA camp invites.

Florida with Leak and Tebow may have been better than Tebow alone. Although Tebow was used almost exclusively on the ground that year, he did throw the occasional pass.

I'm actually hoping to see Mettenberger and Randall assume similar roles next year. Having a mobile QB is essential to consistently contend for national championships, IMO. There are very few pocket passing QB's with BCS trophies.

Yeah, other than Cade McNown, who else has he coached worth a damn? Bobby Petrino made Casey Dick look respectable, but Jason Campbell was a terrible quarterback under his tutelage? Makes a lot of sense. Jason Campbell was one of the most miraculous things I've ever seen. It was certainly an anomaly, but not Al Borges was not a step up from Petrino.

Should fumbles recovered be ignored completely? Maybe if the player recovers the ball himself.

Where you getting these fumble numbers from?

My impression is that you saw someone post it here once and took it as gospel.

Because those numbers aren't readily available on ESPN, LSUSports

Oh, on LSUSports theyre readily available. But like everything else surrounding JJ, Miles lies. He disguises JJ fumbles as TEAM fumbles
quote:

FUMBLES no-lost unc vu ms wvu ut uf mcneese au ua ulm um ar a&m
Jo. Jefferson QB 8-2 - 3-0 - - - - 2-1 1-0 1-0 - - 1-1 -
TEAM 6-4 1-1 - DNP - DNP - 1-1 - 1-0 DNP DNP 3-2 -

So thats 14 fumbles for JJ, with 6 being turnovers. And that doesn't even count the infamous Tenn. game, due to the penalty. Heres how they get "officially" recorded
quote:

Team rush for a loss of 9 yards, fumbled, recovered by Ark Freddy Burton at the LSU 21

Theres a bunch of team fumbles and team losses in '10 that everyone knows JJ had the ball for the entire play

Ive thought about this today.

For one second take me out of JL fanboy mode and take yourself out of JJ or JL fan mode and become the casual random LSU football fan.

Imagine the last 2 years of LSU football on offense.
Most people would say they prefer JL.
2 reasons.
#1) we sucked so bad last year, it just seemed the spark we got was from JL the brief chances he got.
#2) This though 8 games...NOBODY has been bithching and griping about our offense.
99% of college football fans would give a qb a pass if he didint play well vs alabama.
Its one game... vs the best defense in college football.

Think abouut it... how many times on here have you heard people bitching about Oline not blocking?Or rbs not running hard, or Qb not making throws or tunring the ball over or continuesly going 3 and out???
How many times? THE ANSWER IS NONE.
A complete 180 from last season.

You dont have to be a fan of one qb or the other to answer those questions, its obvious.

We keep talking aobut this "giving us the best chance to win" bullshite... My question is this.
If JL was enough to beat oregon, wva (on the road)
Msu (road), au, fla, tenn (road)
WHY THE frick doesnt he give us the best chance to beat om, ark, uga and whoever else?

If LM choses to go with JJ and for some reason we stumble and drop a game somewhere, he's gonna catch a load of shite from ALOT of differnt people.... as IMO he should.

Stay with what you know works Les... If its not right in the game and you need to change something.. do it.
I dont understand why we are even talking about it... nor do I understand why Les would consider doing something different.

JMO.

The TEAM Fumble against UNC appears to be a mistake, as all fumbles are attributed to players. I think they counted a UNC fumble as an LSU fumble.

The TEAM Fumble lost against McNeese was on a punt return.

One of the TEAM Fumble lost against ARK was on a punt return. WHY DO WE KEEP LETTING JEFFERSON RETURN PUNTS?

So there's maybe one more to add, I can't remember what happened on this play against Ark, I'm guessing bad snap:

L 3-10 L30 TEAM rush for loss of 9 yards to the LS21, fumble by TEAM recovered by AR Freddy Burton at LS21.

But yea, its probably a huge conspiracy because Miles gives a shite about the statistics page on LSUsports.net

You can quote all the stats you'd like here. All I need to do is watch JJ on a designed run and he gets stuffed A LOT!!! Most of his yards come on broken plays where he can't find an open receiver and he'll tuck it and run.

Good gosh do you think the Athletic statistic department is one big schrill for Miles to protect JJ? Tinfoil hat much?
